I really wish we could’ve gotten his POV because I really really want to see what his thoughts were during certain situations!! He was just so freaking cute I love him so much! We love a guy who’s sweet and obsessed with his girl! The way he was literally blushing whenever Alice looked at him and how he always wanted her attention was to die for!!! He’s literally the sweetest. I loved the academics and culture mixed into this and also the small twists and turns the book took. It was a little bland and slow at different points throughout the book, but it was overall good. henry li. perfect perfect perfect!! he knows taylor swift's entire discography. you heard that correctly. he's so funny, lighthearted, and sweet. and let's be real here, he loved alice the entire time. i loved how alice made fun for his british accent and how posh he is, because excuse me? i will take him if you don't want him 🫡 Fantasy meets enemies to lovers romance with powerful messages made me enjoy my reading a lot more than I expected.

If you're feeling down, this book can cheer you up in so many ways. It such a fun and cute read, I would recomend it forever. This book will forever be close to my heart 🫶🏼 Henry and Alice are just so freaking perfect! I loved each and every moment these two were together! The chemistry between these two is absolutely unmatched and the banter (mostly one-sided on Alice’s end) was so fun to read about!! Also the moments between these two, whether they’re funny, cute or vulnerable… I LOVED THEM ALL!!!

Does that make sense?” I was initially quite interested in the concept of If You Could See the Sun, but the execution of its most compelling concepts — academic rivals to lovers, an interrogation of elite Beijing educational institutions, the supernatural element of invisibility — left me feeling incredibly jaded, leading to a rather half-hearted finish of the book.If you enjoy the academic-rivals-to-oh-friends-maybe-more-wait-what kind of trope…. you will ADORE this, I swear. I absolutely fell for the way the relationship was set up, right from the start. The feelings develop slowly, the characters are absolutely endearing and so real with their feelings, sometimes messy, sometimes not-really-getting-it. It’s slow-burned and just, EXCELLENT, every single one of their interactions was gold. I loved it. Then her parents drop a bomb -- they can no longer afford her tuition, even with the scholarship. But that's the least of Alice's problems, because she has started uncontrollably turning invisible. As in completely, physically invisible.
