About this deal

Your last step is re-oiling -use the right Paslode gun oil (or a good paslode oil alternative as well) for lubing- be sure to place a couple of drops around the tool’s cylinder wall. We’ll expertly test, clean, service and repair your nail gun, then return it to you working like new again. A service and repair is a worthy investment for maintaining your Paslode’s performance. After all, you don’t want your work to suffer! What’s included in our Approved Paslode Service? If available, it’s advisable to hit the nail gun with a bit of air to mop all the spots you can’t wipe.

Carburetor degreaser doesn’t cost all that much and some claim it’s a brilliant alternative for Paslode nail guns (except when the nailer is super filthy). Using a nailer with loose screws can cause damage to both you and the tool. Test your nail gun after cleaning.Something else: You’re advantaged when you use the recommended paslode cleaner and oil – it’s specially engineered for the tools and cleans wonderfully. Most importantly, there’s no risk of damaging the nailer’s plastic, rubber, and electrical parts. ALSO READ: paslode nail gun repair manual The videos below from Paslode demonstrate how to properly clean and lubricate your nailer. They’re easy to follow with simple instructions. These products are strong enough to blast away oil, dirt, carbon deposits, and more from overly sensitive electrical equipment including pneumatic and cordless nail guns. This video shows you how to clean a Paslode framing nailer (IM360Ci, 360Xi, IM350) or positive placement nailer (PPN35Ci, PPNXi):

Spray the cylinder head assembly liberally and get rid of the gunk with lint-free cloth/ compressed air. Any of the two substitutes we have explained here will do the job and can be a good way of saving your hard-earned money. Don’t worry if a small amount of smoke comes out from your nailer – this is normal. Your Paslode Also Needs Regular Servicing Paslode recommend that you use their official cleaner as, again, it’s specially formulated for their nailers. Other cleaners may chemically damage your nail gun’s electrical, plastic and rubber parts. They may also leave a residue which can cause damage to both you and your nailer. Use a clean, lint-free cloth. That said, avoid using a brake pad cleaner or any other unofficial cleaner if you’re still within the warranty period -it will void it. Regular cleaning (depending on use) is essential to keep your Paslode nail gun firing and running smoothly.

Side Note: Please follow the instructions printed in the manual for your specific Paslode model all through. It’s specially formulated to withstand the high temperatures generated by Paslode nail guns. Other lubricants can cause rapid build-up of combustion residue which will affect your nailer’s performance and require more frequent cleaning. It can also lead to premature parts failure and, in the worst case, an unrepairable nail gun. Use official Paslode degreaser cleaner. Now spray the filter and wipe it clean either with a lint free cloth or by blowing through with air.Don’t panic- it’s alcohol based so it will not hurt the O-rings or other seals (you probably know that brake parts feature plenty of rubber) or even electrical parts of the tool. Don’t think of carb degreaser cleaner though- it has some terrible ingredients and hardens or dissolves plastic, rubber, and the like. So your Paslode’s now clean – hopefully it seems refreshed. But is it firing like it should? As well as regular cleaning, your nail gun also needs new spare parts fitted every now and then. The o-rings, battery pads, filter, etc. get worn out and need replaced.
