While Saint-Yves was the first Westerner to write about Agartha, he would not be the last. In 1908, prior to the re-publication of Saint-Yves’ Mission de l’Inde en Europe, American writer Willis George Emerson published The Smoky God, which purported to be a true account of a Norwegian sailor named Olaf Jansen, who passed through an entrance to the Hollow Earth at North Pole and lived among the inhabitants there for two years. The writing is not standard English. I pushed myself to read it because anyone who can write a compelling beginning and simplify the hardest of concepts deserved a further read. If you think of it as a book translated to English from some Agarthan language, it works better to serve the exotic new world feel. Mellamphy, D. & Biswas Mellamphy, N. Not quite. After the action died down, the lull of the school and having to explain the complex magic was expected. The Plot In the world of Agartha, the color of a person's aura determines the nation they belong to and the powers they manifest. After the purification war that decimated the Greens and banished the Blues and the Yellows to unknown places, only the Red, Orange and Purple nations still stand, along with a few mixed refugee villages trying to recover from the conflict. Before her death, Ms. Beaton passed the torch on to a new author, Rod Green, who finished his first Agatha Raisin novel, Hot to Trot, with her approval in 2020 (#31 in the series). Rod is the husband of Beaton's publisher Krystyna Green, and after 20 years as acquaintances, he stepped in to help Beaton when she fell ill. So really, as a bonus, you have three characters and their path is intertwined with a prophetic "three to pass, two to live." The stakes are higher if one of them dies, right? The Elder Race – One of the most controversial tales of inner-Earth-dwellers is the so-called “Shaver Mystery.” In 1945, Amazing Stories magazine under the editorship of Ray Palmer ran a story told by Richard Shaver, who claimed he had recently been the guest of what remained of an underground civilization. Although few really believed the story, and many suspect that Shaver may actually have been psychotic, Shaver always averred that his story was true. Before the cataclysmic events that made the world as it is today, it was said that the people who resided above found ways to safeguard their knowledge and civilization from oncoming disasters. Here they felt protected from the floods and cataclysms which they feared would cover the Earth.

In fact, there are stories – difficult to substantiate, but often repeated – that the Nazi forces took their occult ideas so seriously as to do things like use Hollow Earth theory to try to pinpoint the location of British ships or target V1 missiles during World War II. It is partly through these sorts of latter day occultists that Agartha and Shambhala become associated both with one another and with Hollow Earth theory more broadly. Indeed, at least one well-known and oft-reproduced map purporting to show the inner earth and its various tunnel entrances depicts the entire land as called Agartha, “Land of Advanced Races,” and identifies its capital city as “Shamballah.”Stross, C. Darren is not only a Red, a nation despised for the atrocities committed in the purification war, but also a shapeshifter, a rare caste within the Reds considered to be more beast than man. Rejecting his own nature, young Darren sets out to find a way to change the color of his aura, for all he really wants is to be an artist, inspiring admiration instead of fear.

In his extension of the early-1860s article ‘Darwin Among the Machines’ by Samuel Butler (a book he entitled Darwin Among the Machines: The Evolution of Global Intelligence, published in the late-1990s), George Bernard Dyson wrote of Ampère’s cybernetic mathèsis as follows:

AIM was launched in March 2019 as a rebrand of IE following the initial publication of the group’s leaked chats. IE had been formed three years earlier, and members of the group participated in the deadly Unite the Right (UtR) rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, in August 2017. According to the Anti-Defamation League, the slogan “You will not replace us”, which demonstrators chanted at the torch rally and daytime march, was coined in IE.
