About this deal
To the old folks at home, a Side-Story is a manga (or a video game) that runs parallel to the events of a television series or movie, dealing with the consequences from the main story.
Unlike the unit carried by the Blue Frame, Red Frame’s Tactical Arms II-L is intended more as a tool than a weapon with new parts that make it more suitable for the often non-lethal Astray.
Features
The bow-like, ranged weapon form of the Tactical Arms IIL, it is handheld when in used and fires a beam arrow. In this form, the Voiture Lumiere System can be deployed to manipulate the path of the beam arrow. Has a 'Short Mode' and 'Long Mode' depending on whether the Arrow Form's "bow arms" are folded or unfolded. The Red Frame’s katanas are molded with a gold-flake injection plastic for the pummels, cross guards, and scabbard chapes while the sword blades are vacuum molded with chrome plating.

By 2010, Bandai turned their attention to Lowe’s Red Frame with the Master Grade MBF-P02Kai Red Frame ‘Kai’ and again in 2014 as a Premium Online Exclusive based on its original unmodified form. The clear centerpiece is the sword, which features the only gold foil parts in the kit. One neat detail is the sword's hilt engraving, which makes up a major plot point in the manga. You can't even see it when the kit is assembled, and it's an example of this kit's hidden detail. In Gundam Breaker Mobile, players could reproduce this Gunpla by utilizing the parts from its base Gunplas, and painting them with the corresponding Astray Red Frame Flame Base Color, originally sold for event coins during the "Covert Gerbera" event, but was later added to the event shop permanently, or by using the Custom Color feature to match the colors. Because all I was building from this kit were the parts missing from my existing Red Frame, I decided to give the complete model a more detailed paint job by accentuating the inner frame color on the outer armor!
Gundam Astray Red Frame has its origins in the manga Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Astray. Published by Tokyopop, this manga has been out of print in the US since 2004. Nevertheless, its lead mobile suit's samurai-inspired design has captivated model builders ever since.
