This UHD release of Babylon contains all of its extras on a second Blu-ray disc; the feature film discs (both Blu-ray and UHD) contain only the

Viewing Babylon in Ultra HD didn’t make for an overtly commanding viewing experience, however, I found it to be a complimentary improvement over the 1080p Blu-ray presentation. The steel spike needle wasn't even on the edge of the record, it was just hovering above it off to the right. The 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray release of ‘Babylon’ includes a few worthwhile extras which can all be found on the included Blu-ray Bonus Disc. Included on the release are a handful of ‘Deleted and Extended Scenes’ from the film (running approximately 9 minutes in length altogether) along with a few Behind the Scenes Featurettes that explore bringing the film to life and featuring interviews/comments with the cast and crew, plus behind the scenes footage and more. The included Featurettes are ‘A Panoramic Canvas Called Babylon’ (running approximately 31 minutes), ‘The Costumes of Babylon’ (approximately 3 minutes) and ‘Scoring Babylon’ (approximately 2 minutes). But that's not to say there's nothing going on around the perimeter. The entire 360-degree soundstage never gets a rest as bands play, guns fire, and cars speed by. It makes for a beautiful cacophony of auditory madness.Nellie’s costumes are wildly oversexualized. She attends a Hollywood premiere dressed as in the top photo — in 1929 or so. Louise Brooks might wear a daring beaded dress, but it wouldn’t be so abbreviated, and she’d have a fur coat over it most of the time. ↑ Many of the costumes, including Nellie’s red outfit for the orgy at the castle house, belong in Barbarella or Flash Gordon. The main characters in this overhyped fantasy are ‘adapted’ from recognizable historical models, with an eye toward racial diversity. particularly soaking in the opportunity to act with near limitless inhibition, whether she's acting within her part in a film-within-the-film or

Margot Robbie plays Nellie LaRoy, a confident, overly ambitious, self-proclaimed star who attends the party that begins the film thanks to the help of Manny Torres, a Mexican immigrant played by Diego Calva whose path intertwines with Nellie’s throughout the film. Robbie is superb and continues to just steal scenes in whatever movie she’s in, and here she even gets to crank it up an extra notch or two. Calva, who is a fresher face on the Hollywood scene also just absolutely nails all he’s given in this role. He’s someone who will benefit greatly from his work here. The Costumes of Babylon — Discover how costume design was fundamental to character development and the challenges that went into creating over 7,000 costumes for the film.

Perhaps they didn't want any sound coming from the machine so they could over-lay what they wanted, if so, a blank recording of nothing on it would have been the answer.
