beyerdynamic DT 1770 PRO Closed Studio Reference Headphones

Everyone who's worked in radio or recording knows beyerdynamic microphones and headphones. I've been using them since the 1980s, and they've been around since the 1920s. The vocals on Billy Joel's classic album 52nd street were recorded with a beyerdynamic 250 microphone. For all you know, maybe your favorite recording was made with a beyerdynamic microphone, too! Comfort is fine. Less clamping force than 1990, more clamping force than 770. Haven't measured it but earpads and earcups felt smaller than 770. I can feel the pads on my ear. Noticeable downgrade from dt770 comfort wise. DT 770 feels overall big and mushy, 1770 feels small and stiff. Isolation better than 770. Trivially easy to drive at 250Ω. Work just as well plugged into an iPhone as they do with a dedicated amplifier like my Benchmark DAC1 HDR. With iOS I have the volume set to about three-quarters to seven-eighths with just about any music or movie. I may have to set the volume close to maximum, and I always have enough sensitivity on iOS not no need any external amplification.

It is stylish if a little less portable than the older leather cases. Mind you the last DT770 32 ohm LE didn’t even have a case so I can’t complain in that respect.I have never them as having a penchant for the neutral and instead they have been giving us a wide range of colored and interesting presentations for quite some time now most notably in their musical DT range and their flagship Tesla T series headphones.

The product is returned in original condition (with brand’s/manufacturer's box, MRP tag intact, user have lots of treble but it's not offensive and it does not bleed into vocals much. It adds soundstage and air to the sound. 1990 have lots of treble and it's offensive AF. It bleeds in to vocals and make them shiny and unbearable. 1770 treble is less compared to these two. There is no ''Beyer treble'' in these. 1770 is more comfortable listen but bass can be fatiguing. Zur Haltbarkeit kann ich nicht viel sagen. Es gibt genug Berichte, dass irgendwann eine Hörmuschel kaputt war. Die offen liegenden Kabel zu den Hörmuscheln bieten sich leider an um hängen zu bleiben und sie abzureißen. Bei der Haltbarkeit würde ich lieber auf andere Rezensionen schauen.These are comfortable to wear all day and all night, whether working on a music or video project. I can edit for hours and hours and hours with these, and they still feel great.
