About this deal

So these are technically the first generic Lightning Claws for Primaris Marines. Whatever — I got excited to see them on in this sprue and I hope that GW makes rules for their use for Primaris Marines more widespread than just Sword Brethren. The bits for them (the arms included) seem pretty universal. And with some creative modeling, you could probably reposition them, too. Overall we have to say this update is pretty awesome and just full of really cool minis. Looks like we’ll be seeing a lot of new BT armies out there soon! x alternate arm options (one holding a bolt carbine, one holding a grenade, and one carrying an Initiate's helmet)

In the revealed photos, the squad has been built with five Initiates, four Neophytes, and one Power Sword-armed Sword Brother. We don’t yet know whether the Crusader Squad in the army set (or the inevitable future standalone set) can be built with a different ratio of Initiates to Neophytes – but bear in mind that the unit will probably retain some version of the current Paired Combatants rule – meaning Neophytes gain a buff if there are more Initiates in the squad than Neophytes. Designed to let you add greater variety to your Crusader Squads with a range of heads, weapons, and wargear, this set also comes with a multi-melta for a vehicle of your choice, six powerful Relics with which to equip your Relic Bearers, and a range of sculpted shoulder pads.

Black Templars Army Set release date

man Primaris Crusader Squad with “a ton of build options”; includes parts to build one as a Sword Brother You better believe that it’s also bursting with rules, including bespoke Detachment Abilities, Stratagems, Warlord Traits, Litanies of the Devout, Relics, Crusade rules, special Characters, and six unique unit Datasheets. Metallics are all just my standard recipes. For silver it’s Leadbelcher with Nuln Oil all over then a Stormhost Silver highlight, and for gold a Retributor Armour base, Reikland Fleshshade wash in the recesses, and Stormhost Silver highlight. If I’m feeling fancy I’ll toss a Liberator Gold highlight in before the silver, but you won’t generally notice the difference.

This final mystery– of when the full range will actually hit shelves – willlikely persist for some while yet, but we’ll keep this guide updated as soon as we glean any further truths through the fog of war.

Step 1. Drybrushing

I'm okay to do conversions, since that's a big thing in Mordheim, and I have a Saturn 2 8K 3d printer as well. I wasn't sure if I should find some 3d printable bits to add on as conversions, or if the Upgrade Kit is my better bet. Even if I were to print out the bits, I'm not sure which models I could put what bits on! It's a whole new world for me. Also among these Relics is the Icon of Heinmann. This symbol carried into battle by the late Castellan Heinmann represents his stubbornness in the face of utter defeat. On the tabletop, it reduces incoming Armour Penetration, allowing Characters to shrug off rending blows. Thats a lame response. You can always choose to represent your primaris as firstborn but the actual question is whether the model is primaris or not While GW excited us for a few hours by initially announcing the Pyreblaster had a Damage stat of two, this was swiftly corrected to D1. It’s still a tasty piece of kit, though:
