UK leading gardening brand Flymo announces its new range of cordless lawnmowers and handheld gardening tools for 2022, including ten new products under the Bosch Power For All Alliance, one of the largest cross-brand battery systems. In terms of overall construction, the mower feels very mid-range. It does not feel as sturdy as models such as the Cobra MX41 40V but it does cost less. Some of the plastics do feel a little soft or a little scratchy, but it certainly does not feel like a budget product that will break within a few months. I actually thought it was a significant upgrade on the slightly smaller Flymo Easistore 300R Li that I tested last year. As expected, the fact that the EasiStore 340R takes so little space when stored seems to impress customers the most. They love how the mower fits nicely in their smaller sheds.

This mower is a good option for someone who does not want to push around a large, heavy piece of machinery. The ‘Easi’ storage, which is a key selling point of this model, lived up to the claims and is very well thought out. For anyone who doesn’t have much space, this mower is well worth considering.

However, once things got sorted out and the mower finally got to the lawn, the performance certainly didn’t disappoint.

The clever vertical storage position means it takes up less floor space keeping your shed neat and tidy, or you can simply fold the handles down flat to store away neatly I found the Flymo Easistore 340R Li very easy to use. In fact, there was not a single aspect of either set up or use that I would class as being difficult or even particularly challenging. Features such as the cutting height adjuster are very handy and easy to operate. With a large collection box of 35L and a full box indicator, you can spend more time mowing and less time emptying clippings. While I did find one or two build quality issues, these were minor compared to the benefits that the mower will offer to the majority of users. It would not be fair to present this as an exclusively Flymo failing. I tested a similar mower from Bosch several months ago, which had far worse plastics and felt a much less durable machine.A close edge cutting system allows a neat cut right up to edges of the lawn or flowerbeds, reducing the need for trimming afterwards; and a rear roller provides a beautiful striped finish to your lawn meaning its always looking its best

A simple single lever for easy adjustments the cutting height and an extra transport position of the handles to make it easy to move around the garden with ease While the Flymo Easistore 340R Li performs very well on an already short(ish) lawn, I did find that it started to struggle on longer grass and the motor did cut out once or twice. Sadly, this is more down to the limitations of battery power (as opposed to mains voltage) than a reflection on this particular model. The angle of the handle bar is fully adjustable without any tools so you can set it to a comfortable height.The cut length is adjusted using a handle on the front of the machine and takes literally seconds. I really liked this as it completely avoids turning the mower upside down and having to take the blades off and add or remove spacer washers. The innovative new Flymo Power For All cordless range includes four new rotary lawnmowers, two new grass trimmers and three hedge trimmers. I nearly went for the slightly more expensive one but decided on this one in the end. So glad I did, it stores really well and has saved me a massive amount of space in the shed. Really easy to use and the cut on the garden was great. If you have limited space to store a mower, this is the one you want.
