About this deal

Six years later in the year 8 A.H. Allah bestowed another great victory for the Prophet in blessed Ramadhan, when Mecca the hitherto bastion of infidelity fell without a fight. Abu Sufyan and his pagan hordes laid down their arms, and Prophet Muhammad (s) entered his birthplace granting amnesty to his deadly adversaries on condition they accept Islam. Again, Immortal Nights was fun, as usual. Lynsay Sands doesn’t know how to write a “dull moment” into a story. She’s always keeping it light and fun until she has to bring some seriousness into the story. Then, that’s even a little bit funny as well. She writes characters that are interesting, intense and good-natured … that all have a “light” side to them and have a wonderful sense of humor. As I said, I am not sure where she is bringing the next installment of the Argeneau’s but it looks like it may be a bit more serious than Immortal Nights. I’m looking forward to see if she can surprise me and still keep me as entertained as she has throughout this whole series. I enjoyed it and actually got through it in 2 days... so it didn't drag but there was nothing new either. Oh, and she leaves us with a cliffhanger epilogue that really is the over arc of chasing the "new" bad guy. Not nice to try to reel us in and really it doesn't do it as you really don't care for the ho hum bad guy plot. So just good, not one of her better ones.

The Torah was sent down on the 6th of Ramadhan, the Evangelon the 12th, the Book of Psalms on the 18th, and the Furqan (the Qur'an) on the Grand Night. 1The island they were stranded on was beautiful but she was tired of running and of tyring to find civilization. When they are rescued, she gets even more confused and becomes extremely ill. There is only one way for Tomasso to save the woman that completes him and he won’t let her die. The next time she wakes up, she’ll be an immortal. almost want to give it 4 but it is just not there. I enjoyed it and the series was a favorite so I feel compelled to bump it up but after reading so many better PNRs I just have to leave it at just good.

There are various narrations regarding the particular Night. The Qur'an did not mention any specific night, so as to encourage prayer and worship throughout the month. Imam Ja'far as-Sadiq (‘a) questioned about the Night of Qadr said: Things have not been going well for Abigail. After her mother is diagnosed with cancer, Abigail feels that she has not choice but to drop out of medical school to care for her. For months she acts as her mother's caregiver, putting her life on hold but its a sacrifice she's willing to make. When Abigail's mother dies, the only relief that Abigail has is that the money she had saved for medical school and the sale of the house is enough to pay off all of the medical debt. Unfortunately, this leaves Abigail with a few hundred dollars to her name, no job, no plan and feeling alone. When she gets the chance to visit her childhood friend, Abigail jumps at the opportunity never guessing that will lead to her involvement in a kidnapping and ultimately, change her life forever. death. Darkness mimics Hades, and at night, the dead may visit the living. Just as the grieving Achilles finally drifts off to sleep on the beach of Ilion, Patroklos visits him in a dream. He begs Achilles to release him from his purgatory. Night is associated indirectly with Sleep and Dream, for without her they could not exist. Sleep and Dream, through Night, facilitate man’s journey through life and into death. Dream, springing from dark unconsciousness, often brings the unknown to light. Only through Dream does Achilles learn of the condition of Patroklos’ soul, and Dream often conveys prophecies or messages from the gods. Sleep (who is protected by the goddess Night) mimics death, and one day is symbolic of a lifespan. Night herself brings daily renewal to weary mortals, helping them live as well as die.

The same year on 2nd Ramadhan the history of faith and righteousness took a new turn when a few hundred Muslims defeated a vastly superior force of Meccan pagans at a place called Badr. It was the first armed encounter the new found Islamic State had to face and by the Grace of the Almighty, it came out with flying colours. The heroine: Abigail - while in her third year of medical school, Abigail had to drop out to take care of her mother who had cancer. After her mother passed away, she used up all of her mom’s life insurance and her own college fund to pay off the medical bills. Abigail then went to visit her best friend, Jet who is a cargo pilot who recently got out of the military. Jet talks her into traveling with him while he flies some cargo to Venezuela. The Qur'an and hadith bear witness to his pristine purity enjoining Muslims to love and tread the radiant path of the Prophet's illustrious progeny. Being forced to abdicate the caliphate a few months after his father Imam Ali's martrydom, Imam Hassan (‘a) spent the rest of his life in Medina propagating and expounding Islam and the Holy Qur'an. This book was told from Abby’s point of view and narrated by Lisa Larsen. Lisa did a great job and has a few different voices in her repertoire, though I do like duet narration best, where the female does all the female parts and the male does the male parts. Even so, I enjoyed Lisa’s reading style and she has a pleasant voice, so it didn’t deter from the story.

Well I have read every one of these Argeneau books and have loved them all, some much more than others to tell the truth. Let us now review the days of joy in this blessed month. On 15th Ramadhan, in the second year of the Hijra, the Prophet became a grandfather, when son Hassan (‘a) was born to his daughter Fatima and Imam Ali (a). It was a very happy occasion for the Ahl-ul-Bait and none was happier than Prophet Muhammad (s). I really enjoyed this story, it was funny and not at all like some of the previous books which took place in Canada with more than a few of the people from prior books as supporting characters. I liked the tropical location and the situations that these two got into. understandable. How strange it is though, that Zeus himself "is in awe of doing anything to swift Night’s displeasure." (XIV, 261) Night is more powerful than Zeus, but in a different way. She plays a role in mythology not as a personality, like any of the Olympians, but as a more ancient and more enigmatic force. She is not only darkness, she is the absence of light, the void which preceded the sun and the creation of earth and heaven. She is an absolute, above the gods themselves. As goddess Night, she is companion to day, but as her primordial, ineffable self she is at the crux of the universe. Even the great Olympians are but a drop of water in the sea of time, but Night who came before will almost certainly endure long after the end of the Olympian dynasty.
