About this deal

Vertical Wall Design No need to feel claustrophobic anymore. Sidewalls have a vertical design making the tent adequately large. Overall - very happy with the panniers. The build quality is excellent and after a 4000k break in ride in pretty diverse weather, I can vouch for their dust and water proof claim. In 2020 we mostly camped in Germany, Austria, France and the Checz Republic. We didn’t have much rain that summer and I don’t recall ever setting up the tent in the rain. But in 2021 we rode from Land’s End to John ‘O Groats. I can’t tell you how many nights of downpour we encountered in Wales and the Scottish Highlands alone. And sometimes we even had a solid week of rain!

We did find the garage area was adequate for a bike, however there is not masses of room to manoeuvre around the bike once it is in there, and there is not really any space to cook, sit, chill etc.

Between the inner- & outer tent on each side, there are large storage areas where you can keep boots, dirty riding gear, panniers, drybags and more to avoid getting your inner tent wet / dirty.

A groundsheet and carrying bag are included to help make this tent easier and more enjoyable to use. It’s also possible to cook or leave gear to air out in the included vestibule area. Most tents come with tarps to protect you from the rain and wind. It’s possible to make the tent seams even more waterproof for better weather protection. Using this tent exclusively for the last two years on all my motorbike travels, It deserves to give it the thumbs up. It has been a reliable home from home, providing shelter and comfort on the road. The area in the front (call it the garage) is ideal to hang out, chill make food or sort out your gear. It can be erected by one man in under 9 minutes in any weather conditions thanks to the single side entry poles and pre attached but removable inner tent.

If you are just a good weather camper, never mind. But if you’ll be camping most nights no matter what, then it’s something to bear in mind. 2. There are lighter motorcycle tent options on the market The fabric of the tent is made from tough, waterproof material that will keep you dry day after day. All of the tents in this list are generally lightweight and easy to carry on your bike. You will definitely want to avoid anything over 10-pounds, unless you have a specific reason for needing such a large sleeping and storage space. The Lone Rider MotoTent is very easy to set up if you follow the instructions. The manufacturer quoted 7 min what is possible. However, I set up camp in 12 min in full motorbike gear and in the rain. You really appreciate the ease of the setup and the size of the tent when you set up in the rain. As you can see from my pictures, I live very comfortably in the Lone Rider Tent. The ALPS Mountaineering Lynx One-Person Tent is easy to set up. For summer riding the mesh walls offer amazing ventilation and give you the ability to stargaze on warmer nights.

Using a portable motorcycle tent can protect your bike from the elements and other weather conditions.
