I honestly don’t know what went wrong. I don’t know if I’m using it wrong or this cleansing oil genuinely does not have the power to break down makeup. I’m going to have a conversation with Purito to see what is going on with this cleansing oil and to see if anyone else has complaints about this product. Purito has been a brand that has given me nothing but a good high with all the amazing products like their niacinamide boosting essence and their centella green level recovery cream. So for the past year, every time I saw a new release from them, I scream like a little girl like how Cosrx comes out with a new product. I was so excited about their cleansing oil and now that I’ve tried it, yikes. Let’s get into the whistleblowing session. Please don’t hate me Purito, I still love you.

This stage was me rubbing really hard, almost 30 times if not more. My skin was red and irritated and there was still residue that won’t come off. I don’t know what went wrong since I’ve never had this problem but it would be best if they revised their formulation. I’ve seen a lot of people use this cleansing oil but they’ve said nothing but good things about it so I don’t know if I’m the only one here. And the part I am least confident to talk about because frankly speaking, it is truly down to the formulation to make the ingredients work. But nonetheless, if this product contains anything that you know your skin won’t like then obviously don’t use it I’m not sure if you can see the leakage, but it comes out from the base of the pump, then leaks all the way down the bottle. I cannot even have this tilt or else it will start dripping out. It is so weird.COVID-19 is hitting hard in the UK and working from home has been fine with me. It’s a different kind of stress with lowered motivation levels. I’m not working out as much as I’d like to, not as proactive as I’d like to. Not getting my shit together like other people. It’s your basic, straight forward oil, but it does feel lighter as an oil compared to the likes of DHC. The incorrect conception that it doesn’t do as well when it comes to cleansing - we’ll come to that later.

Who is this for: Designed for those seeking a harmonious balance of deep cleansing and intense hydration, it’s perfect for individuals with dry or combination skin types. You can see that it does still take makeup off and does a pretty decent job at it so if you wear light makeup, you can probably still get away with just using this. However, running a cotton pad after you can see that there is some makeup residue left and I still did a second cleanse on that side of the face.

These oils are obviously formulated properly for the product and although I’m not fond of these oils per se, I don’t hate them at all in this product. There's still a lot of support for avoiding parabens following the better safe than sorry route. If you do we completely support you! A lot of people, especially in the west are so “urgh” with snail mucin but let’s not forget that you’re not actually directly putting snail slime onto your face. That is not how products work - these are formulated into the product which means you get the good stuff from the snail mucin which is miles better than just putting snails on your face because it just won’t work and you’d have snail crawling all over your face. Who is this for: Tailored for those who value the blend of time-tested ingredients and contemporary skincare science. It’s suitable for all skin types, with a special emphasis on those seeking deep hydration alongside cleansing.
