About this deal

Step 4: Another method is to get the pattern printed on the stabilizer, and it fits perfectly on the ink-jet printer. If you have a long piece, you must cut it into the required size. I freehand all my quilting designs – but if I did anything fancy I would print or draw it on this and stitch through it, then soak it away later.

I use this on everything I embroider. EVERYTHING. But it’s especially useful on problem fabrics. You know what I’m talking about – the ones that are really hard to transfer an image to.As you can see in this sketch, its not something you would want to hand draw on to fabric – it would be very difficult to get accurate. Step 4: As you are working with wool, try to use cold water and keep it there for around half an hour. Step 9: As you complete, take the piece of cloth to place the design. The best part to place the pattern is where the color has faded or the print has come out.

The process is not difficult, and after reading the above procedure, you can do it on your own. The time to complete the process varies from one person to another. In allcases – the freezer paper will peel right off when you’re done.It doesn’t leave any residue behind, and you can reuse it a LOT of times before it loses its ability to fuse.

Problem fabrics

Carefully squeeze the excess water out of the item. Sandwiching the fabric between two towels can help with this! Then allow the piece to air dry completely.

A: What happens when KK 2000 is sandwiched in between two layers of Solvy or Super Solvy? This is a very popular technique for making scarves with yarns and ribbons . If I’m just cutting the shape out – I use freezer paper. It’s cheaper and doesn’t require soaking to remove. Also, when you get the pattern printed on the stabilizer, it may not look great, following which you cannot do the stitching properly. The fabric-like stabilizer provides a supple feel of fabric with the easy removability of a water soluble stabilizer.

It’s a printable wash-away embroidery pattern transfer and stabilizer. Yes – it does all of that in one easy product! In a nutshell. . . Finally, people use freezer paper for this appliqué method. That used to be my favorite method – until I tested some of the new fusible adhesives out on the market and found a new favorite. 🙂I hope that answers your questions about which product I use in which situation! Let me know if you have any other questions about any of them. I love them all and I’m always happy to share info about products that make your crafting easier and more fun. 🙂 Step 1: Here, you have to use small scraps of sulky on the project you wish to work on. Now you have to draw the pattern by keeping the piece of cloth over it. Step 14: Stitch through both layers above the design and continue the process until you complete it.
