About this deal

For in this fragrance, oud is not in the very first row, but is used as a more discreet companion. Furthermore, the fragrance is so pleasantly designed that it has proven to be a nice everyday scent for me. Now to the eponymous oud. It is and remains something very personal. Whether you like it or not is up to you. Due to the enormous fruits, the oud is well controlled, but nevertheless it is the determining part in this fragrance. For me personally two completely different impressions remained behind. woody57: in side by side wearing, my 2002 sample could barely be distinguished from the 2016 bottle. Only the the first 10min from the top are different, afterwards it's nearly identical. This is Hardcore Sex in a bottle!!! Its Sweaty, Its Dirty, Its Intoxicating…. Its so damn nasty…..I wouldn’t be surprised to know that this one has pheromones on it.

Oud Absolu still kept the original scent DNA. You can still smell the scent of M7 in all of it's versions, just lighter nowadays. The 3rd is closer to the 2nd than the 1st version. I would bet my life that those notes aren’t even the half of it. I would bet you anything! I smell far, far more in M7, starting with walloping doses of labdanum, going through to spices like cardamom, florals and some sort of incense, before ending with vanilla. If there is no labdanum and incense in M7, I will eat my hat. (I will eat my hat, I tell you!) The amount of stuff I detect is so far in excess of those measly, abbreviated, 8 official notes that my personal list of what I smell would look something like this:

Later on, a little vetiver, myrrh and labdanum round off the tart character. The citrus fruits, however, remain present the whole time and bring a certain sweetness with some amber, which does not let the austerity slide into the all too gloomy. The 2nd iteration was slightly lighter, hence more wearable. As if it was an EDT & the 1st was an EDP.

We all have certain preferences for certain notes, just as we naturally have a kind of aversion to other notes. Spontaneously, leather, aniseed and oud come to mind, with which I personally am not very good at, for example, YOWZA! YOWZA! YOWZA! [..] “M7” is unashamed of its sexy, primal, and animalistic bed-scent persona. Any man entering a room with a bunch of ladies better proceed with caution while donning this fragrance…..They won’t be able to keep their hands to themselves. I know I wouldn’t. The current version appears fuller and a little richer in features. Towards the base, however, they are then very similar. For the rehearsal I would like to thank Terra! When I entered a barber shop in Caracas in the mid-90s, I was immediately hit by a scent when I opened the door. A scent that made me think about whether I had possibly opened the wrong door, the door to another service perhaps.Yves Saint Laurent M7 eau de toilette natural spray for men is a warm and intense fragrance, opening with top notes of mandarin, which then blends with a heart of patchouli, all of which is rounded off with a base of oud wood, cistus and myrrh. There’s a man who comes to mind when I wear (vintage) M7, the groundbreaking oud eau de toilette from YSL. Each and every time, I see Zinedine Zidane (or “Zizou”), the legendary football/soccer player. He is dressed in the most beautifully tailored, sleek, expensive, dark suit as he sits in the shadows on the white marbled terrace of the Monte-Carlo’s Hermitage hotel one balmy summer’s night. But as if that wasn't enough for now, we are greeted by a fragrance from the kitchen that gives this perfume its name ... Especially in the current season the M7 is the best and most suitable for me. Because of the fruity-citric start and the oriental swing it brings with it afterwards, mMn can be classified as a great all-rounder, which you can wear very well on these autumn days. And also on cooler days in spring I can imagine him very well.

I think this is one of the most unisex ouds I’ve come across in a while, short of the purely, totally feminine stuff with heaps of roses (like Mohur) which only have a portion of oud amidst all the notes. But in terms of oud-centered fragrances, this is totally something that can be worn by women. At least, based upon how it was on my skin which often amplifies base notes and power notes (like oud). I truly didn’t find it to be hugely masculine but, rather, a very spicy oriental woody fragrance. And I think it would be beautiful on women. People in the community tend to over hyper discontinued fragrances. Nostalgia? Dislike of change? Collector's obsession? For those of you who are more at war with Oud, I can recommend that you try a test here. Nothing is really disturbing here I see the fragrance preferentially in autumn and in not too cold winter. And you can't smell it on every street corner Since reading is very helpful and promotes knowledge if you don't just read trashy novels, I was soon smarter. But the M7 is a very pleasant and cosy fragrance, where I personally perceive the oud note only discreetly (if oud is included here at all). It smells like sex, just in a bottle. That’s all. Yes, there is so much more, but that’s all that you, dear reader, need to understand here. There’s nothing else quite like vintage M7, and it lasts for DAYS.

The shelf life is very good at about 8 hours, after about 2 hours the fragrance recedes, but remains present when approaching the wearer. Zinedine Zidane may be a forceful, brutal panther on the football field but, in a suit, he is the most perfect embodiment of raw, sharply-chiseled masculinity and muscular power sheathed in refinement. Tamed, he is sophisticated, jawdroppingly sexy, debonair and virile. He is exactly like M7 which is an oud fragrance that belongs in Monte-Carlo, my old home, and nowhere else.

Anyway, that's how I perceived it at the time, it smelled spicy, warm, oriental. At first the scent startled me, but even when it was my turn I perceived the scent as very pleasant and masculine. Every time the door opened and the hot, sultry air of the street blew in, the spicy oriental was again noticeable. What a disappointment. I don't want to smell like this. There's something bitter about it, disinfectant, cow barn, herd of cattle and their legacies. It leads to embarrassing misunderstandings if you wear something like that in public M7 Oud Absolu also failed mercilessly at first. Topic done. Ew, I don't like it. Just like at home when mummy cooked something that didn't fit in with your life But when you give yourself a jolt and jump over your shadow, you realize that some things are not as bad as first thought But today the chef is trying something new. He exchanges the starter and the dessert and remains behind a new experience.
