About this deal

It has a powerful 56V Li-Ion battery which is a top performer in this category. The design also reduces overheating and prevents shutdowns. The charger is included and is fast and effective. I have never had a cordless lawnmower before and was keen to try one so I was very happy when Cobra kindly offered to send us one to try out. Our old petrol lawnmower finally went to mow the lawn in the sky at the end of last Summer. It was over fifteen years old so it was a real eye opener to see what new products are available now. The CobraMX4140V is an electric 40V Lithium-ion battery powered mower. Video Review of Cobra MX4140V Cordless Lawnmower Grass is collected within the 50 litre grass bag which is ideal for collecting large amounts so you can mow for longer without the need to stop and empty the bag. Manufactured from a robust high quality fabric which allows a free flow of air for a more compact and comprehensive collection.

This Cobra MX4140V comes with a choice of seven cutting heights which, for a mower of this size, is remarkably generous. What’s even more impressive is how easy they are to shift through. This lawn mower benefits from a central cutting height lever that is smooth and simple to operate. Henton & Chattell are also behind other well-known gardening equipment brands, such as Briggs & Stratton. It mulches with ease but if you prefer to collect clippings, it comes with a fabric grass bag. It has a 50L capacity and indicates when it is full. Another feature that comes in handy is a power indicator on the handle. This will alert you when the battery is nearly flat.

The switch you can see in the picture is the isolating switch and can be removed for safety. Try not to lose it like hubby does with his keys. I talk a lot about the importance of a good mower handle and the Cobra MX4140V certainly has a lot to offer in this respect. For starters, you will notice that the handle is ergonomically designed making it far more comfortable to use. It features four starter buttons located at different parts of the handle, meaning that you can start the mower no matter how you want to grab onto it. That said, you don’t need to worry that all four buttons need to be pressed at once, they each work independently. This cordless mower has dual 18 V lithium-ion batteries. You even get a dual battery charger in the kit. It is fitted with a powerful and durable Briggs and Stratton engine, a leading brand for performance and reliability, delivering 1, 5 kW power. If you have a slightly larger lawn, and want a bigger, more powerful mower, the Cobra RM46SPCE is worth looking into. Having this type of blade makes these mowers ideal for collecting leaves on the lawn, and again this Cobra did not disappoint (see video review to see this in action). The brushless motor is an important feature. It improves the run time of the battery and also makes for low noise output. A fairly unique feature that comes in handy on those gloomy days is LED headlights. Those that want a 41cm cutting width cordless mower that is lightweight and easy to manoeuvre around the garden. A larger battery, even if it is 0.5 Ah larger, helps the mower to work that much longer on a single charge. And as the battery gets older, you will be grateful for those extra battery cells. Though the brushes of the motor are going to waste some of this extra battery power, to friction and heat.

The metal and polymer construction makes it tough and durable. It is comfortable to use and the handles can be adjusted according to your need needs. If you have children, the last thing you want is little hands getting hold of the lawn mower and starting it up. It doesn’t bear thinking about what could happen. Fortunately, this Cobra MX4140V comes with a safety key which must be inserted into the battery compartment and switched into the on position before the mower will turn on. The CobraMX4140V is relatively quiet too, so that’s a bonus if you have moany neighbours. All in all I am very pleased to have come into the new world of lawnmowers. I may even mow the lawn myself (could never get the old petrol one even started!). And at least we won’t run out of petrol for this one! The settings for the cutting heights are similar to on the model we just looked at, meaning the range is a bit limited, from 25 to 75mm. You might not want to mulch every time, so there is an easy-to-use grass catcher for collecting the clippings that holds 40L.When it comes to lawn mowers specifically, Cobra has a wide range of products available, including robotic mowers, hover mowers, rotary petrol mowers, and cordless electric mowers. Who makes Cobra lawn mowers? A lot of people are put off cordless mowers in the belief that they will run out of time long before the lawn is mowed. Thankfully, that won’t ever be the case with this Cobra MX4140V since it comes with a powerful 4.0Ah 40v Samsung battery that will give you as long as 30-40 minutes of cutting time per charge. And even in the worst case scenario when you do happen to run out of power, you’ll only need to wait 90 minutes for it to fully recharge. A fast charger is available from Cobra that will reduce the charge time down significantly if you simply can’t wait the 90 minutes to fully charge the battery. I would also highly recommend this Cobra MX4140V to anyone who has a slightly more rugged garden. Since it is so easy to move around, thanks to the ergonomic handles and larger rear wheels. It offers increased power when the ground gets a little tougher to mow, so would work excellently in this type of garden.

Below, we’ve looked at two lawn mowers from Cobra with a petrol engine. 1. Cobra M40B 40cm petrol lawn mower review Under the Cobra brand name, which was launched in 2013, you’ll find a wide range of garden tools and machinery, including lawn mowers, chainsaws, strimmers, and hedge trimmers. Cobra specialises in petrol mowers, and the M40B is one of their mid-size options, with a 40cm cutting width. Another option is robot lawn mowers. While these do not generally have a mulching feature, they cut regularly so can still be used for mulching. Once set up, they are easy to use and require very little effort. Mulching Mechanism

Cobra corded electric mower reviews

This is one of the cheapest and simplest lawn mowers that Cobra makes right now, because it has a small cutting width, and needs to be plugged in at all times when mowing. Although it’s very reasonably priced, given the build quality, there are some limitations to this mower.
