About this deal

I’m coming to the end of this article on the best Fujifilm X macro lenses (aps-C sensor). The main point is here and you should be able to make a real thoughtful choice! I will continue to write about Fujifilm lenses little by little! I also wrote a post about the best Fujifilm pancake lenses if you are interested in this type of lens!

quote]I The point I'm making is that in the limited time products become available for review there has to be a limit as to how much can be included, and indeed how much people want to read about.
We can see that there are fairly significant amounts of both distortion (pincushion style) and vignette. The heavier distortion is somewhat of a surprise on a macro lens, as they tend to be well corrected. I used a -8 to correct the pincushion distortion. The vignette was also surprisingly heavy, requiring me to max out the sliders (+100 and midpoint to zero) to give a fully corrected result. As noted, the correction profile takes care of things in the real world, but that level of correction will have somewhat of an impact on corner performance particularly at higher ISO values where noise is more obvious. The Fujifilm XF 30mm f/2.8 R LM W Macro is the latest addition to the X-mount macro lenses, released in January 2023. This lens follows the popular Fujifilm 80mm macro lens and the “fake macro” Fujifilm 60mm macro lens, which are both detailed below. The XF 30mm is the first macro lens from Fujifilm with such a short focal length (30mm). Despite its compact design, weighing only 195g and measuring 7cm in length, the lens has an ultra-short focusing distance of 10cm, which makes it less suitable for live insect photography. It has a 43mm filter size and does not extend, and comes with a simple plastic lens hood.

Fujifilm Fujinon XF 80mm f/2.8 R LM OIS 1:1 Macro Sample Photos

Image Quality is nothing less than superb, it has fast autofocus when shooting sports, portraits and general photography, it has weather sealing for ultimate outdoor shooting comfort, and it has a true 1:1 macro function. It even has optical image stabilisation! Until recently, Fujifilm users who love to photograph the smallest of subjects have been left in the dark in terms of having a true 1:1 macro lens available to them. Thankfully, this is no longer the case; the Fujinon XF 80mm f/2.8 R LM OIS WR Macro presents the opportunity to photograph the tiniest subjects from close distances, delivering respectable image quality. quote] This review tells us how well the lens performs on a variety of subjects, shows the data measured, comments on the handling and other general observations that hopefully give us the conclusion that it's excellent, albeit expensive.
Voigtlander 35/2 Apo Ultron in XF mount. New last year. but I've never seen a test report or review.

Fujifilm Fujinon XF 80mm f/2.8 R LM OIS 1:1 Macro Chromatic Aberration Charts

If this 1,200×900 pixel crop is about 6" (15cm) wide on your screen, then the complete image printed at this same extreme magnification would be about 21 × 31" (1.7 × 2.6 feet or 50 × 80 cm). If this 1,200×900 pixel crop is about 3" (7.5cm) wide on your phone, then the complete image printed at this same extreme magnification would be about 11 × 16" (0.9 × 1.3 feet or 25 × 40 cm). By f/5.6, the 90mm catches up with the 80mm, making it very difficult to tell the difference between the two. However at f/8 and f/11, the 90mm once again loses ground to the 80mm, albeit by a very small amount.
