The highly posable mechs stand over 4.5 in. (11 cm) tall (Spider-Man) and 5.5 in. (14 cm) tall (Green Goblin). Compared with Spider-Man's equivalent, this mech offers normal articulation. The shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees and ankles each integrate ball joints, ensuring ample motion. The fingers and thumb are articulated too, but the updated hip construction has removed the waist rotation that was almost ubiquitous among the Marvel mechs released before this year.

The set comes divided into three bags: two for Spider-Man and one for the Green Goblin. There are also two instruction booklets, once for each mech. This division of parts and instructions will make this a great set for kids to share, as each mech can be built simultaneously by two different builders. While the essential design corresponds with other models, Spider-Man's mech is noticeably bulkier than others, measuring 13cm in height to the shoulders. Those substantial shoulders seem strange on a Spider-Man mech, although similarly exaggerated proportions are shared across the new Marvel Mech Strike: Monster Hunters comic series. This set comes in a “thumb punch” style rectangular box. The front image shows both mechs engaged in battle. Spidey’s mech clings to the wall of a skyscraper while the Goblin advances, firing one of his shoulder cannons. Comic panel-styled minifigure portraits and web detail frame the battle. The noteworthy parts in this set include the printed pieces that make up the mech’s chests. Unique printings have been common in the Marvel Mech lineup thus far, and this set is no different. Spider-Man sports a mechanical spider detail printed on a red pentagonal tile. Green Goblin gets an organic, eye-like image printed on a dark purple 2×2 curved slope. Goblin’s mech also features the default mech chest piece and a dinosaur tail end section, both in dark purple for the first time. These are not just mechs – these are monster mechs! Iconic Marvel characters – Includes Spider-Man and Green Goblin minifigures and their respective mechs: each bigger and more battle-ready than ever before Opening the chest again reveals space for the Green Goblin minifigure to stand, without any control systems surrounding him. However, as mentioned above, that seems rather fitting for organic mechs because mechanical controls might be superfluous. Additionally, I like how the purple and lime green colours continue inside. No surprises in the building of either mech here. You get a lot of mixel joints to create articulated arms and legs, which are decorated with various slopes to bulk them out. Bag 1 is devoted to the Spider-Mech’s torso and legs. Bag 2 is the Spider-Mech arms. Bag 3 is the entire Goblin-Mech. Although Spider-Man’s mech gets two bags to Goblin’s one, I don’t feel the Spider-Mech is substantially larger or more complex.
