Her shoes are cast in translucent aqua-green and feature bed-shaped heels. Before the Boo Crew's creepover party at the library, Twyla preferred to live in the shadows, away from the other students. But her new friendship with Draculaura, Clawdeen and Frankie helped her come out of her shell. Twyla loves to read and is always excited to learn something new. In Monster High, the two mentioned boogie monsters are Twyla and her father. Because of Twyla, we know that boogie monsters eat nightmares. We also see that Twyla can travel through shadows and see if anyone is a shadow, but it's unknown if all boogie monsters have these abilities. "Boogie Sand" can turn anyone into some kind of monster, as shown in the movie "Haunted", when it was used to turn Twyla and the ghouls into ghosts.

She can affect the dream or nightmare the person is having. It's currently unknown how she can affect the dream, but as seen in " Nightmare Scare, it's most likely through encouraging words, might make the nightmare stop. Late June, 2014: Twyla's New Scaremester doll reveals her last name to be "Boogeyman". This was later confirmed to be her last name by Garrett Sander during a MHMonday. Twyla has light purple-blue skin with grey hands and lower arms. Grey-colored patterns, invoking shadows, swirl up from her ankles to the middle of her lower legs. Her long hair is pastel green with blue and purple stripes which reaches her hips, and her eyes are purple-pink yet glow green in the dark.Twyla likes to do everything herself, eat lunch, read, and more. Yet she is loyal, kind and always ready to do the right thing. Fair and down-to-earth, Twyla is almost always about serious talking but is also very sarcastic and is the one in the group to be most likely to drop dry of dark humor since she too is playful, in a strange stoic way. Shadow-Walking: Twyla can morph within the shadows, invisible to everyone. She can also teleport through shadows, fading through one & reappearing through another. Twyla's best friends are Howleen Wolf and Spectra Vondergeist. Howleen was the first student at Monster High who caught her off-guard, because Twyla thought she was invisible in the shadows, but as a werewolf, Howleen could smell her presence. Twyla chose not to flee that time and so befriended Howleen. Since then the two have been the closest of friends, and are almost inseparable. Twyla is voiced in English by Jonquil Goode. In Freaky Fusion, she was credited under the name Joni Goode.

Despite the creepy reputation boogeymen hold in the monster community, Twyla is everything but. She's sweet and shy and likes to be helpful. Furthermore, Twyla is autistic, and part of her condition is sensory sensitivity. She's easily startled by loud noises and wears noise-canceling headphones in the form of cobwebs, without them she turns into a shadow. Twyla's father is the Boogey Man. Little is known about their relationship other than it's similar to a regular father-daughter relationship; however, it is implied that she does have a strained relationship with him, as she is very displeased by his nightmare-inducing traditions and therefore settles to undo them. It is unknown how her father feels about it or if he even knows.

In her 13 Wishes diary, Twyla refers to herself as "bad" and "terrible". It's unclear what brought her to this conclusion, as they don't appear to be solely caused by immediate events. Despite being shy, she can sometimes be friendly if she wants to be, such as towards Howleen, or greeting Cleo and being kind to her when believing her to be a new girl. 13 Wishes Appearance [ ] Twyla is the daughter of the Boogeyman. Despite their good relationship, Twyla doesn’t like his nightmares, so she replaces them with sweet dreams.
