About this deal

It is now part of the University of Manchester and is used for research, exhibitions as well as a normal library. I’m a big movie guy and doesn’t everyone know it. Honestly, try me. I’ve seen everything at least twice. If you are into your movies but have some catching up to do, you can head over to the central library and watch anything you could possibly dream of in a cool little pod. You can watch some pretty rare stuff too like obscure sitcoms from the 1970s and loads of early camera footage of old-timey people pottering about. Such fun. Prepare for a night of terrifying harmonies as Printworks Manchester goes all out for its latest lip-sync event with a Halloween special this October. Taking place on October 27 at Printworks iconic nightclub, Cargo, the Halloween Lip Sync is taking over The Vault from 7pm – 10.30pm.

The clue is in the name with this club, situated in M3 Salford at Down Tex Mill, taxi drivers find it difficult to get to. Once you’re there, you won’t want to go home. Hidden always likes to have little surprises for gig-goers (see: Denis Sulta surprise set during August Bank Holiday last year). Its two floors of good music, mismatched furniture and a brilliant courtyard for outdoor festivals in summer make it well worth a visit or six.

A boomtown in the 19th Century, Bolton had 216 cotton mills in operation at its peak, with 26 bleaching and dyeing works, making it one of the largest and most productive centres of cotton spinning in the world. That industrial history is still visible and celebrated in the town today, with many mills being repurposed into housing, offices and other new businesses. The town’s history also lends inspiration to many TV and film productions that have been filmed here recently, making use of the cobbled streets and historical buildings.

In this year’s newly updated Michelin Guide, there are a number of restaurants which have retained their stars, received new, green or additional ones. The menagerie of oddly-endearing creatures have been invading the city for the past five years and are set to do it once more. Hide-and-seek doesn’t seem to be their strong suit though, as these pop-up Halloween monsters are often spotted hunkering down behind Printworks or peering over Piccadilly Place. 5. The first thing we recommend to do in Bolton is get a pasty, because it’s the single most important thing to do. Whether you pop into Bolton-beloved Carrs or have a gander at Greenalgh’s, there’s a unique and expertly crafted parcel of goodness around every corner. It’s the closest thing Boltonians have to a regional delicacy, and although the Cornish pasty is often the more famous sister, Bolton’s underdog is so much more versatile and is perfect for nibbling whilst mooching around town. 2. So, this Manchester hidden gem is about this specific album and you can find it at New Islington Marina. It’s also the time to treat yourself to a fun day out or indulge in a romantic date night before your calendar starts filling up with festive commitments. To help narrow down the endless possibilities that await in the city, we’ve rounded up some fabulous things to do in Manchester this November. 1. Visit the Christmas Markets The staff at the entrance will explain everything to you and will be more than happy to answer any questions. You’ll find exhibitions with old collections including some of the oldest editions of the bible in the world. This tiny little charming restaurant located near the Manchester Arena manages to serve quite possibly the best sushi in the city, as well as provide a true Japanese experience. Part of this experience is down to the fact that the place is so small – seating only around 15 people – making it reminiscent of the tiny noodle places you encounter in Tokyo; a place struggling to fit 38 million people into an area the size of the Midlands. With a daily-changing menu of stunning dishes, Umezushi has gained a reputation as one of the best places to eat in the city and once there – you’ll understand why.
