About this deal

Suttons strives to ensure that all its plants are delivered to you in the perfect condition for planting. While the majority of our nursery plants cope well with slight delays in intransit, sadly, the time it takes to deliver to certain locations in the UK means that we can't guarantee this for some of our smaller plug products and tender bedding and vegetable lines, which do not respond well to the extra journey time. So regretfully while we offer the majority of our live plant offering nationwide, we are unable to ship plugs, begging plants and tender vegetable plants to the following areas: HS, IV41-IV49, IV51, IV55-56, KW15-KW17, PA34, PA41-48, PA60-PA78, PA80, PH40-PH44, TR21-TR24, ZE1-ZE3. Incredibly simple yet stunningly effective, each tomato plant halo is pushed into a planting hole cut in the plastic skin of a grow bag and features a watering moat around the outside of the central planting hole; just top this outer ring up with water, apply liquid feed to the centre hole and the two sets of roots which develop - water and feed searching - will do the rest! Six hollow plastic spikes reach down into the grow bag soil and send the 3 litres of water the moat can hold right where it's required, taking 3-5 hours to empty the reservoir.

These unique Plant Halos, which provide crop and watering support to popular crops like tomatoes, peppers, and beans, are ideal for watering and crop support. Grow bags, pots (with a diameter of 26 centimeters or higher), raised beds, and traditional vegetable plots can all be planted with Plant Halos. The Benefits Of Tomato Craters Our Plant Halos are manufactured from recycled, UV stabilised plastic and are guaranteed for 5 years. Potassium (K): An essential nutrient that is important for plants that produce flowers or fruits. Allows for larger fruits and longer blooms. Strong, durable, and versatile, our Bamboo Garden Canes are an essential accessory for any gardener. These top quality natural canes are ideal for plant support and simple structures. They can support many different vegetables and plants. Liquid Tomato Food – 500ml I previously grew tomatoes in pots but earlier this year, I decided to give the grow bags a try. Due to this change I invested in some tomato ‘grow bag' pots or ‘halos' from ‘Selections. com'. There are many other suppliers who provide these devices, and you can probably find them in your local nursery. Basically, they consist of a central planter in which the plant sits surrounded by a lower reservoir with holes in the base, allowing the water to drain into the soil as an when the soil dries sufficiently to require water.Dobies strives to ensure that all its plants are delivered to you in the perfect condition for planting. So, what I do with these halos is that I water the plants directly into the middle of the halos for about 2 or 3 weeks and once they’re established and start to grow away I can then actually water into the outer ring where the holes are, where the water will seep through gradually. Once the first flowers are set, I use a seaweed liquid feed every Sunday and then usually only have to water midweek. So twice a week watering of which one of those is a feed. Because of the cold nights that we are still receiving at the moment, we are going to place some fleece over them. Place a cane into one of the 3 smaller holes in each halo to help support the tomato as it grows. I like to grow mine up strings in the greenhouse, but let’s use a cane for now. Fold the fleece over the halos and they will be perfectly safe and warm during the night, don’t forget to remove it by day.A garland tomato halo is a small, circular tomato that is grown in a greenhouse. The tomato is grown on a small, round, wire frame that is placed over a pot of soil. The frame is then covered with a clear, plastic dome. The dome allows the sun to shine through and warms the air inside, creating the ideal conditions for the tomato to grow. Plant Halos For Cucumbers The central planting area is particularly useful when used with grow bags as it allows a deeper planting zone to develop healthier plants.

So I’m planting these out in halos today (21st April) which extend the growing and enable easy watering, so if you go away for the weekend you can fill these up with water and not worry about your tomatoes drying out.The Garland plant, also known as the Rose of Sharon, is a deciduous shrub that is native to East Asia. The plant gets its name from the Greek word for “milk,” as the flowers are said to resemble droplets of milk. The Garland plant is known for its large, showy flowers that bloom in a variety of colors, including white, pink, purple, and red. The flowers are borne on long, arching stems and are surrounded by large, leafy bracts. The Garland plant is a popular choice for gardens and landscaping due to its long blooming season and ease of care. Our new and unique Plant Halo Grow Pots offer an ‘all in one’ watering and crop support solution. Popular and thirsty crops such as tomatoes, peppers and beans greatly benefit. Plant Halos can be used on grow bags, pots (with a diameter of 26cm and above), raised beds, as well on traditional vegetable plots. Simply construct the bamboo structure in the plant halo, fill with compost, sow your seeds, and watch your tomatoes thrive. Our kit includes: Like I said earlier, if you are going away for a couple of days, you can fill these right to the top and they will take a couple of days for the water to seep into the growbag behind. Today’s blog is about how to plant tomatoes in halos in the greenhouse for maximum cropping. I sowed my tomatoes 35 days ago indoors on the 17th March and they are Olivade tomatoes, they are a lovely plum tomato with great flavour and flesh which I really like.
