The two tanks will fit in an area of 8” x 20”. The issue’s always been that washing your car will always leave some marks. If you don’t leave your car to dry sufficiently after giving it a wash, then it’ll leave irksome water spots. Still, even if you try hard enough to dry it as thoroughly as you can with a towel, you might still be able to see some swirl marks. Or worse, you may even end up leaving behind scratches, engraved onto the paintwork. Many water deionizers require you to drain the water between uses; this mixed bed water deionizer does not require it unless there are freezing temperatures.

The water to be treated passes through a bed of the resin; negatively-charged resins absorb and bind metal ions, which are positively charged. The resins initially contain a divalent (single) hydrogen, sodium or potassium ions, which exchange with divalent calcium and magnesium ions in the water. As the water passes through both kinds of resin, the hardness ions replace the hydrogen, sodium or potassium ions which are released into the water. A single set of resins can last till the filtration of 2000 particles. When used in series or stages, the resins can last longer.
