About this deal

With our coffee chocolates, we’d like to think we've elegantly balanced the taste of a great coffee with varying types of chocolate. Experience the deep flavours of our 70% dark chocolate paired with punchy Arabica coffee for an espresso shot effect. Or if you’re after something more mellow, our Coffee and Walnut Cake Selector brings together 40% milk chocolate with walnut praline and a generous dash of Arabica coffee. It’s tea-time in bitesize form! We also have a super smooth white chocolate option to bring through the light taste of Café Latte. A high cocoa butter content gives these bites an irresistibly creamy texture that melts in the mouth for a truly indulgent tasting experience. Whether it's boxed gifts, bespoke gifts, bulk catering chocolates, or individual wrapped treats, we cater to individual and corporate clients across the UK and internationally.

To make sure that you don’t end up with uninvited sugar crystals in your sugar syrup, brush the sides of the saucepan with hot water and and pastry brush to bring down any sugar particles. Measure out all the ingredients using a digital scales or use cups and spoons making sure that they are only filled to the level (not heaped). Add the caster sugar into a small to medium size saucepan and add the liquid glucose, cream of tartar, pinch of fine salt and the water.

If you don’t have a cutter or you want your coffee creams to be more round and domed, simply take a piece, roll it to a very small ball, flatten it gently and make it more of an oval shape. We know, we know – it’s a tragedy! Savouring that delicious chocolate coffee cream taste, the process of allowing a rich, creamy filling to melt in your mouth has to be one of life’s most amazing pleasures.

The best thing about this recipe is that you can easily make it with different flavours. Pretty much anything goes, but here are my favourite combinations. They also make the perfect gift for friends and family, and they can be kept cool in the fridge, or eaten as soon as they arrive – whatever you prefer, the choice is yours! It can be counteracted by adding water, flavouring or even alcohol to make the whole mixture a bit more pliable. I do this right at the end when I’ve nearly finished the recipe, just before I want to roll it out and shape. If you’re giving them as a gift, please make sure they are suitable for people with food allergies: the recipe for the chocolate coffee creams contains traces of nuts. How much will it cost to deliver Whitakers chocolate coffee creams?

Why do chocolate and coffee go together?

The word fondant comes from the French ‘fondre’ or to melt, and describes the key characteristic of the tempting coffee creams. Keep the fondant creams in cool place (not in the fridge) in an airtight box (or tin or paper box) and separate each layer with baking parchment to make sure that the chocolate covering doesn’t get scoffed.
