Last year, Christopher Paolini and Disney announced that the company would be adapting Eragon as a television show on its Disney+ streaming platform! News has been scarce as the show goes through the early pre-production motions, but we’ll surely hear more in the months to come! Learn everything we know about the Eragon TV show here! And the words - oh my, Paolini's words. Look at how they are put together. Look at the rich description. That's not plagiarized. That IS original. Look at how he puts together ideas and plots and describes emotions, characters, colors, scents, the change of seasons, the change of terrain - that is all original. The WAY in which he put together his words, is original to him. It's his personal writing voice. Everybody has a writing voice. Some voices ought to be quiet, frankly, because they are that bad. Some voices should be trumpeted.

Are there any images or drawings of these 42 basic glyphs? In Paolini's newsletter, when he published Eragon's guide to Alegaësia, he said: An authentic work of great talent . . . I found myself dreaming about it at night, and reaching for it as soon as I woke." ─Liz Rosenberg, "The New York Times Book Review" Fifteen-year-old Eragon believes that he is merely a poor farm boy—until his destiny as a Dragon Rider is revealed. Gifted with only an ancient sword, a loyal dragon, and sage advice from an old storyteller, Eragon is soon swept into a dangerous tapestry of magic, glory, and power. Now his choices could save—or destroy—the Empire. Unusual, powerful . . . fresh and fluid. An impressive start to a writing career that's sure to flourish." --"Booklist", StarredOromis mentioned that one of the "basic glyphs" was on Aren, so one of the glyphs should look like this. In fact, good writers are always influenced to some degree by those whom they have read. That's usually how they end up becoming GOOD WRITERS. An authentic work of great talent . . . I found myself dreaming about it at night, and reaching for it as soon as I woke." ─Liz Rosenberg, The New York Times Book Review

Will appeal to legions of readers who have been captivated by the Lord of the Rings trilogy. "School Library Journal Full praise to "Eragon," and I want more! A winner . . . tip of the hat to young master Paolini. Anne McCaffrey, author of "The Dragonriders of Pern" series An authentic work of great talent . . . I found myself dreaming about it at night, and reaching for it as soon as I woke. Liz Rosenberg, "The New York Times Book Review" Slightly redesigned covers using lettering by Jason Carne, matching the design of the Murtagh cover. ( Same with the spines.) No details have been announced, but Christopher has confirmed that he’ll be touring in-person to promote the scifi prequel

Are there any of these "basic 42 glyphs" in Eragon's guide to Alagaësia, or did he just make some glyphs and let the rest up to us? I didn't get the book, when it was published, and my local bookstores don't sell the book. And the world....few authors have captured by heart and dreams the way Paolini has with Alagaesia. The lore and history and magic and landscapes and just all of it is stunning and has had my mind in a chokehold for over a decade. I find something new every time I read Eragon which is a testament to the quality of the writing, in my opinion.

Celebrate the worldwide fantasy phenomenon Eragon, the first book in the Inheritance Cycle, which has sold more than 40 million copies across the series. No details have been announced, but Christopher has confirmed that he’ll be touring in-person to promote the new book. For those unfamiliar with the Inheritance Cycle, it is a four-book fantasy series that follows the adventures of a young farm boy named Eragon and his dragon Saphira, as they battle against an evil king and his army. The series is known for its intricate world-building, complex characters, and thrilling action sequences.

The world is no longer safe for the Dragon Rider Murtagh and his dragon, Thorn. An evil king has been toppled, and they are left to face the consequences of the reluctant role they played in his reign of terror. Christopher's journey to becoming a globally beloved publishing phenomenon is as magical as the fantasy novels he writes. Christopher was homeschooled by his parents and often wrote short stories and poems, made frequent trips to the library, and read widely. He was fifteen when he wrote the first draft of Eragon and his family self-published the book in 2001. In August 2003, Alfred A. Knopf Books for Young Readers published Eragon and it was an instant success, reaching a worldwide audience. Christopher's second novel Eldest was published in 2005, followed by Brisingr in 2008. Inheritance, the fourth and final book in the cycle released in November 2011. Additional titles in The World of Eragon include Eragon's Guide to Alagaesia and The Fork, The Witch, and the Worm. There are twists and turns, and sometimes you feel you might be one step ahead of the characters, but not often. The epic struggle between good and evil is played out, but there are shades of grey in some of the characters that make them somewhere in the middle, which is refreshing.Hi fairies!
