The Hyundai has a 12-metre power cable, 45-litre bag and a telescopic chute with 9 working heights. It starts at 70 cm and goes up to 100 cm. I’m 5’7” and I needed all the 100 cm to work comfortably. The height adjustment is great for storage. It offers a great level of blowing power with its 3000W motor and you can adjust the levels of blow speeds which is a nice addition to have – especially when you need to reduce the blow power around delicate flower beds or if you need to increase the blow speed for larger wet or damp leaf heaps. It has two cable clearance hooks to keep your working area clear. A small but essential safety feature in my opinion. A. Yes, this is a multi-functional blower and vacuum that can be used on more than just leaves. It can be used for cars, hedge trimmings, grass clippings and even snow during the Winter
When the 45-litre collection bag was full the engine slowed down. This is a great plus that means you don’t overwork the machine. On the downside, the Bosch is heavier than the other models, probably due to the metal fan mulcher. The vacuum mode is heaviest at 4.7 kgs. It’s not unmanageable and the shoulder strap takes most of the strain. For taller people, this will work a treat as the chute length is adjustable so it can be lowered to 0.7m or extended to 1m which is a nice addition to have and works well. Another advantage also is the fact that there is no assembly needed at all as it ready to go straight from the box. My wife bought me an early Xmas gift because of the amount of leaves that fall off other peoples trees...this has fit the bill great..It came 90% assembled and in less then 5 mins I was up and running...I like the fact it has more lead then any other and it's got variable speed...Love it..CheersAs a little extra The Handy comes with a free hanger to store the machine off the ground. It’s sturdy enough for the weight of the blower – which is barely anything. It won’t start without the collection bag in place and turns off when you release the trigger. It’s a safe machine with its long 12-metre power lead that cuts down on the need for an extension cable. The suction tube is enormous. It’s a good double the size of other models I’m testing, but it is lightweight and of good quality. This was the only garden vacuum I didn’t have to slam on the floor to fit the tubes inside one another. The design is lightweight, so it is very manageable – plus you have the added support of the small wheels and a padded shoulder strap so working this tool is a hell of lot easier than we first expected.
Two other numbers are quoted for power output: volume flow rate (measured in cubic metres/hour) and airflow speed (measured in kilometres/hour or kph). Volume flow rate measures the volume of air that exits the tube. The higher the figure, the more air moves through the machine, which means more leaves moved. But the volume of air is meaningless if it isn’t moving fast enough, which is why airflow speed is also important. Variable speed control is a useful feature as it allows you to change the speed and power depending on where you’re working – you’ll want to be gentle around plants whereas more oomph will help on lawns.
