About this deal

Mulling spices: These vary in mulled wine from country to country, but whole cloves and star anise are my favorites, plus perhaps a few cardamom pods. Rich maroon in colour, Mulled Wine is both sweet and spicy. Deliciously aromatic, Mulled Wine is the perfect non-alcoholic festive tipple. Sweetener: Feel free to add your favorite sweetener to taste. Sugar is classic, but I prefer to naturally sweeten mine with either maple syrup or honey. You can make your own tags, or save time by buying these handy Christmas kraft tags instead. What can I do with this homemade mulling spice?

Easy. Homemade mulled wine is so simple to make with just 5 minutes prep and can be made in a large batch. Now that you have a holiday drink, try this holiday Brownie Brittle Recipe (Paleo!) How long does this last?

Hibiscus, Apple Pieces, Orange Peel, Rosehip, Ginger, Cinnamon, Cloves, Allspice Berry, Natural Flavouring. Versatile: there are plenty of variations in this recipe, so you can adjust both the ingredients and the cooking method to whichever you prefer.

My dad's side of the family is from Hamburg, Germany... making this is a very special family recipe! This recipe is definitely the "easy" way to make hot German wine by using the Gluhfix tea bags. Fresh oranges: One of which we will slice and mull in the wine, one of which you can slice and use as a garnish if you’d like. (Edit: To minimize bitterness, I recommend peeling the orange before simmering it in the wine.) This tea can be made in a large batch and, after being left to cool completely, stored in an airtight glass pitcher in the fridge for up to 3 days. To reheat, pour the tea into a small milk pot and heat over a low heat until warm or your desired temperature is reached. Homemade mulling spices can be used in many different ways to add those warm, holiday flavors to your favorite drinks and foods:Brandy: Similar to sangria, it’s also traditional to spike your mulled wine with an extra bit of liqueur. Brandy is the traditional choice, but Cointreau (or another orange liqueur) or tawny port are also delicious alternatives. Hibiscus flowers ( UK Link / US Link ) and whole rosehips ( UK Link / US Link ). To make mulled wine non alcoholic these loose herbal teas are used to replace red wine. They have a similar sweet and tart flavour to cranberries. Sugar free. A virgin mulled wine without alcohol (or Kinderpunsch recipe if you’re in Germany) is normally made by replacing red wine with fruit juice, such as cranberry or pomegranate. The use of hibiscus and rosehips herbal tea instead makes this a refined sugar free mulled wine recipe. These allergy friendly homemade Dairy Free Christmas Chocolates, which are dairy free, gluten free, soy free and vegan, make the perfect homemade gift or treat during the festive season. The tea can also be stored in the freezer in a freezer safe glass airtight containerfor up to 3 months, however, the flavour of the tea will be noticeably weaker after defrosting and reheating it. Freeze the tea in 1 cup servings so you only have to defrost the desired amount of cups each time. Avoid fully filling the jar – leave a 1-2 inch gap at the top to allow the tea to expand as it freezes. Label each container with the name and date frozen so you know when to drink it by.
