About this deal

Large footprint – while you can fold this up when not in use, it may be too large for some small spaces when in use

Anti-slip feet make it difficult to push around – This is a safety feature but also a complaint as you can't just slide the chair around with one hand if needed The Chair is a lightweight and compact minimalist high chair. Once your child outgrows the need for a high chair, The Chair transforms into a sweet minimalist play chair. Feet are not grippy to the floor, so it slides too much on smooth surfaces. This is particularly problematic with the tough to slide tray mechanism. Stokke offers some accessories to go with the Clikk high chair. None of these are required to use the high chair, as Stokke positions it as a high chair that needs no “extras.” Still, accessories are fun!Now with that said, my kids LOVE this one since it's big enough for them to stand on together and they really can access it the most independently of all the towers we've ever owned with it's two-step design. In other words: Stokke Clikk is your safety superstar. Made from solid European beechwood, the high chair has been certified, tried, tested and trusted, meeting every safety standard required so you can rest assured your little one is always safe and sound. Worried about harmful substances? Don’t be! It’s practically a fortress of child-friendliness. Shop now

A small tray may be a deal-breaker for you though. Keep the tray size in mind before deciding on the Clikk high chair. Price This point almost doesn’t need words, but I’ll go ahead and supply some anyway. Just take a look at this high chair! Its minimalist style is such a welcome reprieve from the bright and garish designs of other high chairs. Make mealtime memories with the Stokke Clikk High Chair! Inspired by sleek, minimalist Scandinavian design, the Stokke Clikk evolves alongside your child. Whether your child is in the midst of babyhood or is far beyond their days of sippy cups, the Stokke Clikk ensures that they will always have a seat at the table. STOKKE CLIKK DETAILS Secondly, the Tripp Trapp isn’t lightweight like the Clikk. While the Clikk is a mere 8 pounds, the Tripp Trapp tips the scales at 15 pounds, thanks to its all-wood design.

CHOICE Expert Rating

The 3-in-1 version converts to a toddler tower (aka a kitchen helper). A kitchen helper is one of my favorite items to have in the home. It basically is a step stool for kids to be up at counter height. Specs: While this is certainly an annoying feature, it doesn’t cool my feelings for the Clikk. Honestly, I have never encountered a high chair that didn’t utterly frustrate me when it came time to remove the tray! While the Clikk doesn’t break the mold here, it certainly isn’t a reason to pass it up. Tray is Small

There is another option that Stokke has come out with called the Stokke Steps Chair if you are interested in a chair rather than a booster seat for a toddler or older child. This seat supports up to 187 lbs making it work far beyond toddler years for your child. You also can add accessories to this chair to make it a baby bouncer for an infant or a high chair for an older child. What accessories are available for the Clikk high chair? To its credit, I do like the Stokke brand’s commitment to quality. The chair was very easy to set up, and is easy to clean. European brands are held to a much higher standard than American brands when it comes to reducing toxicity, which is why I tend to prefer them.To keep the high chair’s footprint small, the Clikk does have a smaller-than-average tray. Most other high chairs have huge bulky trays with more surface area for mealtime. Even so, the Clikk’s tray still has adequate space for a plate or bowl and a sippy cup. Both Stokke high chairs reflect minimalist styles and offer ergonomic positioning. Also, both chairs give children a “place at the table” at table height, which promotes family bonding. If you aren’t interested in dedicating a third of your day to cleaning a high chair, I’d recommend going with the Clikk. It was specifically designed without the nooks and crannies found in traditional high chairs. It’s in those nooks and crannies that baby food gets lost forever. Personally, I'm a HUGE fan of toddler towers and think they are a must have for every family so I'd personally get the 3-in-1.

The Stokke Clikk high chair is intended for ages 6 months to 3 years. As with most high chairs, infants should be able to sit on their own before using the Clikk high chair. While both chairs come from the Stokke company, there have significant differences. Firstly, the Tripp Trapp is intended for lifetime use. This is a chair for babies, adults, and everyone in between. The Clikk high chair is targeted for use through infanthood and toddlerhood only. Stokke, a company based in Norway, follows traditional Scandinavian design with a light and natural wood, along with muted neutral shades and minimalist style. As minimalism keeps gaining traction, parents are drawn to simpler high chairs like the Clikk. Is this shape-shifting high chair a high-scoring Which? Best Buy? See our full Red Kite Feed Me Combi review. With its neutral design, this high chair is at home with any decor. Also, it is tasteful enough that you won’t find yourself hiding it away when company visits! Easy to Clean

Additionally, switching heights and configurations is SIGNIFICANTLY easier on the Ergobaby (just push a button and pull/push). With the Stokke (you need an allen key for every adjustment).
