As for the elusive 93xx update, it seems more like a mid-life facelift of the Series 9 that doesn’t bring any significant improvements over the existing 92xx shavers (except for the larger battery), but it will likely boost the sales. The 93xx, 94xx PRO and 95xx PRO+ models come with a slightly larger battery that can hold enough charge for up to 60 minutes of use. So, the Braun series 9 is not cutting it for me in regards to razor burn, but I have had good experience with Gillette’s new Skin-guard razor. You won’t have a Series 9 Pro though after that upgrade as using a standard Series 9 with the 94M Pro head will pretty much feel like using a standard Series 9. TLDR version: the Braun Series 9 9385cc shaves exactly the same as the older, ongoing models like the 9290cc, 9295cc and the likes. Moreover, there were also some reports from various users stating that the HyperLift&Cut trimmer on their original Series 9 would breakafter just months of use.These new models were initially launched in Europe, but are now available in many countries, including the USA. But the actual performance is the same as the rest of the cutting elements stayed exactly the same. The new trimmer on the 94M does seem to be a tad better with longer hairs, but it would be really difficult to quantify the benefits; both the Pro S9 and the standard one seem to me just as capable with longer stubble. The answer from Braun is not really answering any of my questions, other than what I already expected, namely differences in color and accessories. While stainless steel gets a large part of its corrosion resistance from chromium, there are near-endless combinations of various metals marketed as stainless steel today.
