About this deal

The Atlas features a single Boa dial, which is the basic L6 version complete with incremental adjustment for tightening - there is no reverse adjustment. To decrease, or remove the shoe, the Boa needs to be pulled upwards which releases the tension. A single Boa is not uncommon with entry-level shoes but there are many brands that offer more adjustment at the same or lesser price point. Fizik Terra Atlas shoes | Sole shape and comfort A gravel cycling shoes with Powerstrap Velcro closure system design for an enveloping fit and a X4 outsole targeted stiffness and rubber tread for mixed surfaces As mentioned, these shoes are made to pedal powerfully and slog for quite a few off-road miles - for this, the hidden nylon footplate provides balanced stiffness and pedaling efficiency, and the low-cut upper allows for a smooth, chafe-free ankle roll with every pedal rotation. A simple twist of the dial allows for precise adjustment and the tough slipstream plastic guides keep the Dial lace smooth running, allowing an even application of pressure across the foot. Sono scarpe perfette sia per la pedalata che per camminare, personalmente mi sto trovando benissimo

Fizik says it has balanced performance with comfort in the new Terra Atlas and has created a new, more generous fit when compared to the existing Terra X5. The upper section of the shoe low-cut in design and is made from a flexible polyurethane synthetic leather material with a diamond texture. The outer layer is covered with vent holes over the toes and it continues almost all the way down both sides to the heel cup to enable your feet to breathe. The rear of the shoe has a heel loop that can be used to simply store them or to aid in sliding your feet in. So it’s worth being aware of what the compromises are and whether any are deal breakers that would tip you towards going up a price point or with a different model. But for the most part, and for most people, the Terra Atlas do a fabulous job at what they’re intended for. This creates extra room in the shoe, Fizik says, but it’s not roomy enough to be considered a wide fit. The Terra Atlas is also said to be well ventilated without sacrificing protection, due to a TPU overlay on the toecap.

The first thing I noticed with the fitment was a pronounced ridge that is on the outer edge within the mid-foot area. While not uncommon for Fizik, there is no noticeable arch support and the insole is very basic with little padding and no profiling. And to keep riders in control and prepared over ever-changing and always unexpected terrain, the fizik Terra series handlebar tape and off-road accessories for all-terrain riding provide just the right amount readiness, no matter the weather or what lies ahead.

On the whole, the Terra Atlas gravel shoes were really great in many ways. They still have their limitations in certain areas, but as an entry level shoe that was always going to be the case - even the majority of top-end shoes don’t manage to hit everything off perfectly. In terms of retention, the Terra Atlas forgoes the combination of a Boa dial and Velcro strap, as seen on the Terra X5, and instead has a single Boa dial. Can I measure an inner insole of 44 euros? I have seen the table, but I am not sure what corresponds in fact

Hello, im new to cycling shoes, would love something good for rides combined with a bit of walking is this a good option? Could you please also advise compatible pedals - preferably hybrid ones when riding also with regular shoes? The Terra Atlas features the L6 Boa closure system and six wide eyelet loops (Image credit: Dean Hersey) The outsole is slightly wider than the Terra X5, while the nylon footplate overlaps on the side of the upper, according to Fizik. After a while of wearing these shoes, I truly believe that the Fizik Terra Atlas is one of the most comfortable and versatile shoe I have worn. Short of wearing a hiking shoe with a cleat in the sole, these offer a great compromise of an off-road cycling shoe and something that is comfortable off the bike. It's a difficult balancing act to produce a shoe that is flexible enough to offer grip on the ground and yet remains rigid enough to transfer power through to the pedal. For these versatile shoes we developed a specific outsole, the X4: a carefully considered combination of stiffness and comfort, to turn pedals effectively on mixed surfaces; blending nylon - with targeted stiffness - and a rubber tread for effective grip and durability. More versatile than ever, Fizik has redesigned its X5 outsole for better grip and traction. Equipped with generous lugs and a rubber coating that covers the entire surface, including the midfoot, the X5 outsole provides secure grip when you need to push or even carry your bike on steep, rough trails.
