Another significant difference is the ability to adjust the angle of the wheel plate, which is only available on the GT Omega. You wont be able to fold the stand completely flat, but it’ll get very close, meaning that you can easily rest it against a wall, or in a cupboard, freeing up space in your room.As I’ll go on to talk about in the performance section below, this APEX wheel stand held up much better than other direct competition. As for add-ons, both the GT Omega Apex and the Next Level Wheel Stand offer a variety of accessories to enhance your sim racing experience. For example, you can add a shifter mount, a keyboard tray, or even a monitor stand to either one of these wheel stands. Moving on to the height adjustments, both models offer a similar system for adjusting the height of the wheel paddle, which is achieved through twist bolts. Unfortunately though, you will have to detach the wheel and pedals to be able to fold this wheel stand away. And that is its biggest flaw. A key benefit of using a free standing monitor stand rather than an integrated mount is that they avoid vibrations which come from steering wheel and pedal inputs. These can be particularly noticeable if you are using a direct drive wheel base.
