About this deal

White Collar Worker: A job applicant for the Playtime Co. Factory. The Pink Tape is a recording of her job interview. The Atoner: Possibly. Mommy recognizes them as an employee, implying at the very least they were one of the scientists. They also returned to the Playtime factory to rescue their coworkers, if the letter and Poppy's cut dialogue are any indications. Shout-Out: Her concept as a doll able to talk to children may be a reference to My Friend Cayla, a real-life doll equipped with a Bluetooth speaker that could connect to the internet and hold conversations. Machine Blood: The mascots are capable of displaying organic properties, and the toys are covered in red. In Log 08502, Huggy was briefly mentioned as Experiment 1170, and was dubbed the most optimal subject, as he possesses the ideal amount of intelligence and is obedient to the scientists working at the company.

Bear Hug: His specialty is to give bone-crushing hugs. With the mascot from Playtime Co., it might as well be taken literally... Her human identity's last name is "Payne". Not only is she looking for ways to hurt you, her distorted screams as she chases the player indicate she is in a lot of pain.Hazmat Suit: The cinematic trailer depicts them with those, although they are optional skins in the game in-proper. A restricted, edited tape shows the events that occurred on August 8th, 1995. The tape says at the start that it has been altered by a third party, later on the tape it says repeatedly to release Kissy Missy. On this day, Kissy Missy was loaded on a cargo train to be relocated to Playcare in accordance with the Bigger Bodies Contingency Plan. But on the way, she was suddenly released from the straps as the train went faster, and she was covered in blood as the staff members on the train were killed during the run, presumably by The Prototype. Four-Legged Insect: Mommy Long Legs is based on a spider, but has four limbs instead of the usual eight. Due to Huggy Wuggy falling off the catwalk, it is unknown whether or not he survived, and thus if he will return in future chapters of the game. However, it's widely believed he'll return due to being the main mascot of both the game and the in-game company Playtime Co, as well as appearing heavily in the marketing for the game stated by mashoor. Screw This, I'm Out of Here!: Despite returning to the Playtime Co. factory to learn what happened there all those years ago, the Player immediately tries to find a way out; nearly getting eaten alive by a giant statue will make anyone change their mind. It's easier said than done, as obstacles and more dangers stop them from leaving. To make things worse, at the end of Chapter 2, Poppy sends them deeper into the factory to help her for an unknown reason, making escape even harder.

The product has been identified as presenting a high risk of suffocation as the fibrous internal stuffing is easily accessible due to poor construction and stitching of the toy. If the stuffing becomes accessible during use, a child may access the stuffing and place it in the mouth, presenting a suffocation hazard. The product also does not possess the required labelling. Suddenly Voiced: Played with. Huggy Wuggy has always had a voice (considering you hear his goofy laugh in his theme song), however the Huggy encountered in the first chapter doesn't utter a single word while he chases the player. It's only in Chapter 2 that more of his voicelines can be heard via his cutout. Mighty Glacier: He's fairly slower than the player character and can be easily outrun... at first. Once Huggy engages the protagonist in the assembly line, he's able to keep up the same pace as them even though he needs to squeeze through the tunnels to continue the chase. It's implied he's simply toying with the protagonist during this first encounter. The Survivors as depicted in the cinematic trailerThe protagonists of Project Playtime. Their job is to get toy parts within the depths of the factory, and try to get out in one piece. Ambiguously Evil: It’s all but confirmed that the protagonist was a high ranking member responsible for the experiments on the orphans. It’s currently unknown the motive of the player to return, perhaps to either free the souls as a way to redeem themself, or to keep their past buried.

However, this has been proven false, as it turns out the eyes assumed to have been viewed as a reflection of the floor. Nobody Here but Us Statues: He initially pretends to be part of a display in one of the first rooms you enter. But leave the room to solve a puzzle, and you'll find that he's suddenly disappeared. Although, if you count her apparent Prehensile Hair, which she can also manipulate, that brings the total to eight appendages. Promoted to Playable: He is one of the three playable monsters in the Project: Playtime multiplayer mode, alongside Mommy Long Legs and Boxy Boo. Barrel o’ Huggys– a barrel of stretchy, flat versions of Huggy Wuggy that can hook together, similar to the real-life Barrel of Monkeys game. Rejected as it was deemed a choking hazard after children tried to eat from the barrel thinking it was candyGreater-Scope Villain: Playtime. Co caused its own downfall by using orphans and employees as experiments for the living toy mascots that went feral and killed everyone within the factory, Playtime Co is responsible for all the events that have occured within Poppy Playtime and Project Playtime.

Friendly Neighborhood Spider: Subverted. Mommy's toy design is based on this idea, and she acted this way around children. Around adults (like the player) however, she's as far from friendly as you can get.

Huggy Wuggy/Experiment 1170

There are a few other characters we either hear about or see glimpses of throughout Chapters 1 and 2 – some being more important (and threatening) than others. Here’s a brief summary of what we know about each of them so far. Diabolical Mastermind: He is the founder and chief supporter of the Bigger Bodies Initiative, which we know turns people into living toys, and not very nicely. He also uses the toys to his advantage and have them fulfill various roles to ensure the BBI is working efficiently. He Who Must Not Be Seen: Many tapes and voiceovers of Leith can be heard throughout the franchise, yet he is never seen in the flesh. The Big Guy: Among the other mascots of Playtime Co, Huggy Wuggy is the tallest. His real-life, monster counterpart stands proudly at 17 feet tall. Animal Motifs: Spiders. She may not look like it at first, but she is actually based on an arachnid. She can crawl on walls, produce her own web and her main theme song is actually the "Itsy-Bitsy Spider" song. It's even more apparent when she goes aggressive and her fingers become thinner and longer, which makes her hands look like creepy pink spiders.
