And it has 1/10 of a degree resolution thanks to the vernier cursor. The Miter V27's adjustable miter bar will fit standard square-sided miter slots measuring 3/4" wide, 3/8" deep, and with or without a 15/16" T-slot at the bottom. The miter bar's adjustment range accommodates actual slot widths between 0.740" and 0.760". The Special Edition Miter1000 comes standard with Incra’s finest cross cut fence, the FlipFENCE and FlipSTOP. The unique design of this fence guarantees a perfect stop point for mitered board ends. When in the stop position, both flip arms fully engage the front surface of the fence, thus preventing the board tip from slipping behind the stop. Assembly took about 15 minutes but most of that time was spent fiddling with the darn stop. This is one of those parts you wish they included pre-assembled. The Kreg Precision Miter Gauge features an aluminum protractor head, aluminum fence, and an aluminum miter bar. That’s a bold choice for a miter bar as I can see it being a potential weak point in the design, especially at a length of 24” (the longest you’ll find on the market). The gauge can rotate 50 degrees in both directions and has a resolution of 1/10 of a degree thanks to a high visibility vernier scale. It has 9 positive stops that are engaged with a brass pin, though this is an unfortunate design choice as the pin is not fixed to the gauge and if you should happen to turn the gauge upside down, the pin falls out. I also noticed a little play at each detent, but you can overcome it by putting a good amount of pressure down on the pin and then tightening the protractor head. As shown, the same INCRA HoldDown Clamp also keeps your fingers comfortably away from the blade when cutting workpieces that are too small to safely hold by hand.

The 3/4" x 3/8" steel miter bar features up to six independent nylon expansion rings to ensure a perfect fit with the slot in your saw. A removable steel T-Clip helps to keep the miter gauge on your saw when fully retracted for wide crosscuts. Flip Fences can be used with any INCRA Miter Gauge and the Flip Shop Stop. Flip Fences are NOT compatible with the standard Shop Stop.
