Feed from 16-20 weeks onwards. Provide on an ad lib basis, they will require about 100-150g per hen per day, all year round. Introduce a new feed gradually over 7 to 10 days to help a smooth change over. This feed should be fed with ad lib fresh water and grit should be made available at all times. These medicated pellets are to be fed solely for 7 consecutive days. Withdraw feed 7 days before slaughter. Zero withdrawal period for eggs. Premixed Flubenvet with Layers Pellets is also available in some places – quite simply a bag of feed, ready mixed with Flubenvet. Before using Flubenvet There is no egg withdrawal so they remain safe to eat throughout. However birds being wormed for slaughter should not be consumed until 7 days after the end of treatment. It is crucial that some form of grit is included as the easier the food is digested and absorbed the healthier your birds will be.
