Masamune-kun suffers from an interesting phenomenon, something I like to call the "Guilty Crown Effect". At the beginning, we start with a very unique plot with tons of potential, and several different characters with what looks like room for development. Writers who purposely set out to deceive with such obvious dishonesty tread a fine line between an annoying lie and a lie that is entertaining enough to be shrugged off. She felt that Aki's servant was the most interesting character, but also enjoyed Masamune, especially how he had to "think about the correct response for each situation he finds himself in". This is one of the reasons why she eats in the storage room, another is that if she was eating a normal amount of lunch, her stomach would rumble loudly afterward which can distract her classmates and would embarrass her at the same time.
