About this deal

On Resurrection Sunday, or Easter, we reach the culmination of Holy Week. The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the most important event of the Christian faith. The very foundation of all Christian doctrine hinges on the truth of this account. Temptation is everywhere. You don't have to succumb! You can resist. You can overcome. The Lord has promised us this. Jesus spoke seven final statements from the cross. His first words were, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." (Luke 23:34, NIV). His last wordswere, "Father, into your hands I commit my spirit." (Luke 23:46, NIV) Hi, I'm Josephine, Fashion Stylist / Costume Designer of 25 years, founder of Sunday and Story and proud Mum of three! The priest said, “Well, Murphy, I notice that ya didn't steal McGlynn's hat. What changed your mind?”

Meanwhile, in the early morning hours, as Jesus' trial was getting underway, Peter denied knowing his Master three times before the rooster crowed. Blind guides!...For you are like whitewashed tombs—beautiful on the outside but filled on the inside with dead people's bones and all sorts of impurity. Outwardly you look like righteous people, but inwardly your hearts are filled with hypocrisy and lawlessness...Snakes! Sons of vipers! How will you escape the judgment of hell?" (Matthew 23:24-33) A cheating painting contractor had been skimping by thinning his paint excessively. Nevertheless, he landed a big job painting a church. He was almost done when a major storm blew up. It washed all the paint off. A bird provides an illustration of the protection God promises His children in a Bible verse that some may find unusual.

A few minutes before the church services started, the townspeople were sitting in their pews and talking. Suddenly, Satan appeared at the front of the church. Everyone started screaming and running for the front entrance, trampling each other in a frantic effort to get away from evil incarnate. Soon everyone had exited the church except for one elderly gentleman who sat calmly in his pew without moving, seeming oblivious to the fact that God's ultimate enemy was in his presence. So Satan walked up to the old man and said, “Don't you know who I am?”

In John 12:9-11, crowds gather around Jesus and believe in him after he has raised Lazarus from the dead, and the next day the multitudes who had gathered for the feast in Jerusalem welcome Jesus as he enters the city. In Matthew 21:1–11, Mark 11:1–11, Luke 19:28–44, and John 12:12–19, Jesus descends from the Mount of Olives towards Jerusalem, and the crowds lay their clothes on the ground to welcome him as he triumphantly enters Jerusalem. The triumphal entry is traditionally commemorated on Palm Sunday. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triumphal_entry_into_Jerusalem Sunday School Lesson (John 14:1-14) Jesus is the Way, and the Truth, and the Life This week the children will be learning that Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. These Sunday School Lessons are based on the passage in John 14 where Jesus explains how relationship with Him is the only... An elderly woman walked into the local country church. The friendly usher greeted her at the door and helped her up the flight of steps. “Where would you like to sit?” he asked politely. After Jesus had said this, he went on ahead. He was going up to Jerusalem. He approached Bethphage and Bethany. The hill there was called the Mount of Olives. Jesus sent out two of his disciples. He said to them, “Go to the village ahead of you. As soon as you get there, you will find a donkey’s colt tied up. No one has ever ridden it. Untie it and bring it here. Someone may ask you, ‘Why are you untying it?’ If so, say, ‘The Lord needs it.'” Those who were sent ahead went and found the young donkey. It was there just as Jesus had told them. They were untying the colt when its owners came. The owners asked them, “Why are you untying the colt?” They replied, “The Lord needs it.” Then the disciples brought the colt to Jesus. They threw their coats on the young donkey and put Jesus on it. As he went along, people spread their coats on the road. Jesus came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives. There the whole crowd of disciples began to praise God with joy. In loud voices they praised him for all the miracles they had seen. They shouted, “Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!” (Psalm 118:26) “May there be peace and glory in the highest heaven!” Some of the Pharisees in the crowd spoke to Jesus. “Teacher,” they said, “tell your disciples to stop!”“I tell you,” he replied, “if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.” In his beautiful book, “I Shall Not Want,” Robert Ketchum tells of a Sunday School teacher who asked her group of children if anyone could quote the entire 23rd Psalm. A golden-haired, four-and-a-half-year-old girl was among those who raised their hands.Early Sunday morning, several women ( Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Salome, and Mary the mother of James) went to the tomb and discovered that the large stone covering the entrance had been rolled away. An angel announced: I decorated a room a couple of months ago but last week I opened a delivery and fell in love with a rug so much that I’m considering repainting the room! I do fall for them all, it’s safe to say. A song by Audio Adrenaline expounds on the inspiring idea Jesus shares in the parable of the lost sheep. More recently I designed a collection of rugs that are being hand woven in Morocco. These are the most beautiful quality Beni Mrirt rugs. The vision is to produce a collection solely made by a large Women’s Collective of highly skilled female weavers in Morocco.
