About this deal

A lyric about love and money: Fun wordplay again. Do you view money as an expression of love? You might be similar to Drizzy, here. A lyric about realness – Drake channels his softer side here, reaching out to someone who isn’t being themselves. Use this lyric on that person who needs a pep talk on realness.

It feels like the only time you see me is when you turn your head to the side and look at me differently”A lyric about Kanye: Drake takes a dig at Kanye West and his infamous descent into madness. Kanye has lost a lot of friends and good ties in business, thanks to his controversial behavior, and Drizzy remarks that that could never be him. A lyric about misjudging – Being pre-judged before they’ve even met you? This is something Drake and other celebrities have to deal with all the time. It’s usually those who haven’t met you that make the wrongest impression of you, right?

A lyric about success – Drake has had some hardships in life, especially when it comes to high-school bullies. He’s probably in a much better position than they are and they’re most likely looking on and crying. What a great punchline. Carlino proficiently intersperses parts of that book within this, and we get to read it with Em, concurrently. A lyric about fakery –Drake is pretty much exposing other rappers for lying about their past experiences, here. But you can use this line in other situations, like dealing with fake friends. Y’all will get exposed one day. Stephens, R., Atkins, J. & Kingston, A. (2009). Swearing as a response to pain. NeuroReport, 20, 1056–1060. Well, I basically just reviewed Swear On This Lifeby Renée Carlino in one sentence but let me give you some more details.Swear on this Life' was such a wonderful second chance romance. One of the best I’ve read this year. The story was beautifully written, layered and like I mentioned above so gripping. Emiline/Emerson’s story was heartbreaking and really hard to read at times. Her childhood truly made my heart ache and I’m so glad she had Jase as a friend and later as something more. The way Emiline struggles with her past was wonderfully done. You can feel her pain, how much she still suffers for everything that happened years ago and of course how much she still loves Jace.

A lyric about love –Okay, this lyric is pretty cold and it downright exposes you as a cheater. But if you do struggle to stay loyal to one person, this honest line is perfect for you. A lyric about blessings – When life treats you well and you’re encountering blessings on blessings, this line is well-suited. Drake shows gratitude, so why shouldn’t you? A lyric about life – This lyric was inspired by a Braveheart quote and reminds us that we have to live life to the fullest. A motivational line that inspires us to go out and make memories. A lyric about living life on the edge – Life in the limelight means sleepless nights and erm, drinking. This Drake line works best when you’re feeling real bad about happy hour.

Reading Emerson’s story or more exactly her own story, Emiline is forced to deal with some aspects of her past. While reading the story, she learns to forgive, learning that is okay to let go of the past and eventually she starts to heal from everything she has been through more than ten years ago. A lyric about flirting – Cheesy lines rarely work when hitting on someone, but just for Drake’s sake, we’ve listed this as one of his best romantic lyrics. As cringe as these words are, you can’t deny they’re also pretty sweet. When a bestselling debut novel from mysterious author J. Colby becomes the literary event of the year, Emiline reads it reluctantly. As an adjunct writing instructor at UC San Diego with her own stalled literary career and a bumpy long-term relationship, Emiline isn’t thrilled to celebrate the accomplishments of a young and gifted writer. I won’t get in trouble. Meet me out there in an hour. If it’s dark, there’s a lantern right inside of the door on the left. Take a flashlight.” A lyric about love – These may sound like simple words, but boy, will they strike home when your lover hears them. Let that person know that you’re also missing them. Drake did and we bet it worked. That’s because the novel is patterned on Emiline’s own dark and desperate childhood, which means that “J. Colby” must be Jase: the best friend and first love she hasn’t seen in over a decade. Far from being flattered that he wrote the novel from her perspective, Emiline is furious that he co-opted her painful past and took some dramatic creative liberties with the ending.A lyric about forgiveness – When his fellow rappers called off their beef (like Kanye West), Drake retaliated with this verse, telling them it’s too late. He won’t let bygones be bygones, and if you hold deep grudges, too, this lyric is for you. It’s tuna and noodles and soup and stuff. There’s, like, potato chips on the top. It doesn’t look good, but it is. Go ahead, before it gets cold.”
