About this deal

Paint colour is Dulux ‘Almond White’ which we have running through the entire open plan living/kitchen/dining rooms. A gorgeous off white which makes it look very bright but also has a warm tone.

I’ve grouped things in multiples, singular statement or varied heights to add interest, texture & pattern. I’ll probably end up faffing with this every 5 minutes but for now I’m really happy with how the units turned out & it’s finally starting to feel like home. One thing that really stood out to me is how at the beginning, Elle tries to justify why her life isn’t perfect before anyone makes any comments about her lifestyle. The only thing now left to do is paint the outside, however the cold weather means it’s the worst time possible to do it (& the risk of rain!) so that will be done in Spring. I hope you’ve all enjoyed this reveal & if I’ve inspired you to take on your own caravan project (which I know from a few messages has already started happening!) then be sure to tag me! Another was at the beginning of August, on my trip to Bali, I did something that I thought I’d never be able to do…I walked up a volcano. I was SO incredibly unfit & unhealthy at the start of this year, so to be able to get to the top was something I’ll never forget & that overwhelming sense of pride made everything so worth it.He started by building the stud wall to house the stove. This was literally a frame of wooden beams with plasterboard attached. Obviously if you install a real log burner you have to follow fire safety guidelines like having special heat boards. Portable – I love how easy it is to move about, we’ve been taking it downstairs in the day so Rory has that consistency of knowing when he goes in it he should be sleeping and familiarity if we are on the go. Hello & happy Friday! What a beautiful week it’s been & we’ve been lapping up that sunshine. It’s time for this weeks tour but if you missed last weeks kitchen post, or the week before’s hallway post then nows the time to catch up.

I was a size 18-20 & hated my appearance so much so that I hid behind the camera rather than in front of it wherever possible. I decided that enough was enough & 2018 was going to be the year that I finally changed my awful eating habits to better myself & be a role model to my children. Caravans essentially need to have everything in them that a normal home would have which I found hard as it’s obviously very much condensed. I love cooking, but with the tiniest space to work in you really have to think outside of the box! Thinking of the basics, I knew we’d need a kettle& toaster then found some little Kilner jars to hold tea/coffee/sugar & some beautiful acacia chopping boards. We hadn’t repainted this room since we moved in over 6 years ago so it was in desperate need of a refresh…the perfect excuse to give it a bit of a makeover & try out a new look. In terms of meeting new friends, I have found that it’s harder to meet people than I imagined. I’m a really social open person & imagined I’d be welcomed in to school social circles but have found with Elsa & Rory being that bit older, it’s more of a drop off & run vibe than a lets meet up for wine. I’m sure once the house is done & we have a bit more time on our hands we’ll find our feet with that more. The roman blinds are from Dunelm called the Atlantic Natural which is a lovely grey/beige tone. These are actually way too short for these windows, but they’ll never be rolled down & are more to soften the space. I knew I had SO much to be grateful for & trust me, I did feel so fortunate but something was just wrong.
