About this deal

There are two ways to experience the aqueduct. You can walk from the carpark (which has a museum nearby sharing the story on how it was built). But by far the best way to experience it is by crossing over the aqueduct on the water at the top – either by hiring a canal barge or paddling across in a kayak. The views across the valley and the welsh countryside are well worth the effort. A trip to North Wales wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the delightful and charming coastal town of Llandudno. Places on this map of Anglesey and Wales include the seaside resorts of Llandudno, Colwyn Bay and Rhos-on-Sea. Other places of interest are the historic Menai Bridges, the castles at Beaumaris, Conwy, Caernarfon, Dolbadarn and Harlech and the picturesque small town of Llangollen.

For families, adventure parks providean arrayof things to do in North Wales includingroller coasters, slides and experiences. For a day of discovery, head to one of the regions zoos & aquariums – here, the kids can be introduced to animals from all over the world. Mid Wales is a land guarded by castles along the Welsh Marches in the west and dominated by spiritual mountains, sparkling lakes, acres of unspoilt countryside and picturesque market towns and villages. One of the main attractions of Mid Wales is the remarkable Brecon Beacons National Park, which offers fantastic walking routes during the day, as well as a mesmerising night sky as it is a designated Dark Skies Reserve, one of only five in the World. The region is also dominated by the Cambrian Mountains, often referred to as the Desert of Wales due to it being sparsely populated. The highest point of the Cambrian Mountains is Pumlumon which reaches to around 2,467ft. In contrast to the rolling hills of the Brecon Beacons and the Cambrian Mountains, Ceredigion is a county in Mid/West Wales that runs along the Western coastline in the area and encompasses the popular Cardigan Bay. Other locations to see during your holiday in Mid Wales include Llandrindod Wells, Powys and Aberystwyth (below).Bangor also has a beach, pier and is a great seaside pitstop for a few hours. It’s definitely worth visiting Wales’ oldest City but you don’t need to plan much time here. Llanberis is the town most people will pass through on the way to Yr Wyddfa (Mount Snowdon) and many people park in Llanberis and start the hike up Yr Wyddfa (Mount Snowdon) from here too. Other popular attractions include Beaumaris Castle (see the full listing below for further details), and Holy Island. This smaller island is linked to Anglesey by bridge and is a popular holiday resort, with two promenades, one of them 2.4 kilometers long. Puffin Island at Penmon Point is especially popular among bird-watchers.

Speaking of wildlife, you'll find adventure and farm parks as well as zoos and aquariums here too. Learn about local marine life or venture further and discover animals from across the world. Prefer to see the "wild" in wildlife? Boat trips will help you spot seals, porpoises and dolphins. Bird-lovers will want to train their binoculars on our sea cliffs and open countryside.
