About this deal

The Bosch MultiTalent 8 MC812M853G food processor comes with a metal dough hook, which can be used to work harder doughs. In tests, the 4200XL consistently produced excellent results regardless of the task. It sliced onions and celery evenly in the midi bowl (with none of it landing in the main bowl), turning a 10-minute chopping tasks into 30 seconds of processing. Then we were able to take the midi bowl out, slot the whisk into the main bowl and add three egg whites. After about five minutes, the whites were light and fluffy and had increased in volume to fill the bowl. If you wish to return your item to Robert Dyas, you can do so by the following method: 1. Use a food processor’s wattage as a rough guide to its power. Remember that how a food processor is designed can have as much bearing on its performance. More watts won’t always mean it’s a better machine but anything over 650W should have enough muscle for most tasks. Are food processors easy to clean? The Bosch MultiTalent 8 MC812M853G food processor whizzed through the chopping tasks we gave it in no time.Accessories/attachments:Stainless steel blade, reversible shredding/grating disc, dough blade, creaming disc, blender The mini bowl fits inside the main one, and, crucially, has a seal around the edge to stop food spilling out, so when we chopped herbs, there was only one bowl to wash, not two. A separate recipe book has some ideas to get you started, but as you might expect, most of them are basics, such as pesto, mayonnaise, coleslaw, bread and pizza. Accessories/attachments: Stainless steel blade, emulsifying disc, spatula, fine and coarse grating discs, kneader, blender jar, chopper

After Max, you have Pulse, where the machine automatically starts and stops at full speed, which is handy if you’re making things like milkshakes where you need time for the contents to settle down. What immediately impressed us about the Bosch multitalent 8 food processor was its powerful 1200W output, meaning the standard of chopping and blitzing was very high. A brilliant piece of kit, this food processor includes six attachments so you can slice, dice, knead and more with no trouble at all. Finally, there’s the 1.5l blender, which is suitable for hot or cold ingredients, making it great for ice cold frappes or piping hot soups. Unlike other food processors, which feature just low, high and pulse speed functions, the Bosch MultiTalent 8 MC812M853G’s speed is adjusted using a dial. It performed similarly well when using the blade in the main bowl to liquidise vegetable soup. The BlenderMix ring helped to deflect the liquid down towards the blade, rather than it splashing up into the processor lid, so that after two minutes it was smooth. Another advantage is that the bowl can blend hot liquids, so there was no need to cool the soup to room temperature before processing. A final reason to buy is that it’s dishwasher-safe.

Accessories/attachments: Reversible slicing and grating discs, dual metal whisk, dough tool, knife blade, chopping bowl, blender, spatula We said at the beginning that KitchenAid’s 1.7l food processor fit so well into our kitchen and it’s true. Its aesthetic definitely caught our attention, but it was the machines ability to chop, blitz, puree and knead, among other things, that kept this a long-term love affair. However, because of this, it doesn’t have as many accessories as its competitors – no whisk or dough blade, for example. But, it all depends on whether you feel that’s what you’d need from your food processor. The Bosch MultiTalent 8 MC812M853G food processor is not a small machine by any means - the main bowl has a 3.9l capacity and it comes with a 1250W motor - so it’s for serious home cooks who need to prep for big dinners. As well as being multi-use, this food processor does all of the above really quietly and is unobtrusive in size (although there is a larger model available for bigger kitchens). We barely noticed this new gadget in our kitchen – apart from the fact that it was an indispensable sous chef. We also liked the speed controls offering two levels, as well as the pulse function. While these appliances look similar – motorised bases with a number of power settings, clear bodies, rotating blades – they do differ in purpose. A food processor is a versatile electric machine that allows you to prepare a range of food in different ways; from chopping or cutting to mixing dough, it can get multiple cooking jobs done. This type of machine is best suited for food that will end up mostly solid, while a blender is best suited for blending solid ingredients into a liquid. What size food processor do I need? The Bosch MultiTalent 8 MC812M853G food processor also comes with a juicing attachment and a whisk. Millie Fender heads up all things small appliances at Future. There’s nothing she loves more than testing out the latest and greatest cooking gadgets, for indoor and outdoor use, from toasters to air fryers. She reviewed the Bosch MultiTalent 8 from her own kitchen, testing it rigorously for a couple of weeks before writing this review.
