About this deal

The part that bothered me most about the book was how much the male lead, Torin, was forgiven for the parts of him Ava didn’t like because “he was hot.” Not a direct quote. Anyway, I sort of don’t get how people are given passes for looks. Not for the things he was forgiven for, at least. A hot person spills a drink on me in a bar? Forgiven because they smiled at me. It’s pretty privilege. Burning humans alive at Beltane? Yeah, I don’t think being hot is enough to move past that. THE STORY WAS a little bit predictable but I still enjoyed it. I kind of knew where the ending was headed but the suspense and mystery was still done well and kept it entertaining. The ending was a bit of a cliffhanger so I’m very happy Book 2 is coming out soon!

Kennedy on January 20, 1961. He began by attempting to read his poem "Dedication", which he had composed for the occasion, but due to the brightness of the sunlight he was unable to see the text, so he recited " The Gift Outright" from memory instead. At least to me she was. She felt like an outsider around others, in both the human and fae realm. To me, she doesn't really know where she belongs and honestly? COMPLETELY RELATABLE! I liked how throughout the book, we were trying to figure out Ava's story alongside her. I wouldn't say I saw a lot of the plot points coming, because I was equally screaming "did that really just happen?" at my phone, as well as "I KNEW IT!" Overall, as a character, I truly adored Ava and I cannot wait to see how her development flows after that ending! Robert Lee Frost (March 26, 1874–January 29, 1963) was an American poet. His work was initially published in England before it was published in the United States. Known for his realistic depictions of rural life and his command of American colloquial speech, [2] Frost frequently wrote about settings from rural life in New England in the early 20th century, using them to examine complex social and philosophical themes. The Seelie Court, Faerie, and its magic are nicely portrayed, making readers feel like they're there too. I did really enjoy the descriptions, and the world-building was nice though not particularly groundbreaking.

Cole, Cole, Cole. I knew for the very beginning that he was going to give problems. Once again the ambition proves his point of no return and the “end” of the character was perfect for me. ;)

I did find out that the Watchers are protectors of Echo. But what's so great about Echo, and what exactly are the Watchers protecting, and how did they come to protect Echo? I guess the Watchers are what remains of what used to be, and it was even asked, "What is this ancient race" and "Where did they come from?" And how did they come to threaten and protect Frost? I’ve really been into Fae books lately (romance books, specifically) but I’ve been tired of the lore because all of the Fae seem to follow the same variation. With werewolves and vampires and the like, there are a million different thought out rules to the species. Fae seemed to get one thing. While this book follows some of the familiar Fae “rules” I’m used to, it also deviated enough that it felt unique and I was interested. Hopefully i will get some answers to these questions on the next book, which i'm going to start reading next!

If you love romantasy books, this one is for you. If you love fae related books, this one is for you. If you love a heroine who knows she is not perfect and owns her flaws, this book is for you. If you love a hero that says things that will make your knees go weak, this is ALSO FOR YOU! Frost was also a descendant of Samuel Appleton, one of the early English settlers of Ipswich, Massachusetts, and Rev. George Phillips, one of the early English settlers of Watertown, Massachusetts. [4] Yes, they spin yarn, and badly at that. Spinning is not twiddling unnamed and undescribed stuff between your fingers. They do not, not a single time, ever actually weave. The only loom they have is apparently used for turning yarn into thread. (That's not how it works, but I'm assuming everyone else in the world besides the author knows that.) It’s still light,” I whispered aloud, trying to reassure myself. In the light, I was safe. Even the smallest child knew that much. The monsters didn’t come out until after dark. We were just two people, and I was astonished at how easy it was to forget that there were any other barriers between us." Ava's character was delightful. I am a huge fan of a strong female lead and Ava was just that. She was a spurned female with nothing to lose at the start of the book. She really proved her mettle throughout the competitions in the story. I immediately loved her. Torin is a decent character. I felt that he could have used a little more character development because I enjoyed his character but I didn't feel as attached to his character as I did with Ava's character. I did enjoy the secondary characters and the spark that they added to the story. I’m expecting to see more from Adam in the future. My opinion about him is not quite formed yet. ;) I had the privileged of being a part of the cover reveal from AToMR Tours for Frost. So when I knew Frost was going on tour I jumped at the chance to be on it. When I read the blurb I was excited to be introduced to a new world.Sometimes we bloggers tend to stay with the same genre but I said hey this good. I have to say I am so glad I read Frost because it left me breathless and wanting book two like yesterday!
