About this deal

No matter how good the crop, there will always be the cream – for us, this is Proform’s Performance 600i. It has a solid reputation for good quality and customer satisfaction and has recently become a lot more affordable. The 5inch LCD display screen is clear, legible and uncluttered, and includes your speed, time elapsed as well as time remaining, distance covered, calories burned and heart rate. Warranty and Guarantee The JTX Sprint 3 is the entry level offering from leading home fitness company JTX Fitness and promises a good quality running/walking based cardio workout from the comfort of your own home. Of course, the treadmill doesn't really compare to miles outside, but if you are taking your training indoors, there are a few tools that can help.

The best treadmills are a great addition to a home gym, whether you’re trying to burn fat, improve cardio fitness or just looking for a convenient way to stay active from home. That said, buying a treadmill is an investment in terms of both money and space. That’s why we’ve written the following buying guide and roundup to help you find the best piece of equipment for your home. This is best used with a tablet but can also be used with a smartphone and the free tablet holder that is included with this machine is very useful to help transform a great treadmill in to an exceptional multimedia treadmill. Overall, JTX Sprint 3 is an excellent treadmill; you don’t get any better in the same price range. Its exceptional build quality, accompanied by the add-ons, add to an exciting workout experience.

The Sprint 7 has excellent connectivity and although it has plenty of features out of the box, you can add to this considerably thanks to its bluetooth connectivity and hardware that works seamlessly with a range of third party software such as popular running apps. RRPs can be punitive, but you'll find the usual online shopping suspects tend to offer enormous discounts on sports equipment of this nature. Just make sure there aren't any enormous delivery and set-up charges involved, especially for the larger, fancier stuff. Our price widgets will always pull in the lowest price offered by our retail chums.

The Slimline’s display is very good, with a clear digital interface registering and showing the metrics we all want as we use a cardio machine- calories, speed, distance, and so on. As with the Sprint models, there is also a breath-taking array of different programmes and settings to choose from. It comes with 43 individual programmes and 15 levels of incline that can be controlled digitally. Variety won’t be an issue with the Sprint (though working out the best program for you may take some time…)However, there are 3 pretty decent incline levels with the Nero Pro, which will go a long way to giving your workout a bit of an edge. As the Sprint 3 is a basic model, it doesn't come with Bluetooth or is pairable with any fitness apps, but you can either use your device – the Zwift RunPod and the Garmin HRM-PRO PLUS come to mind – to run along to your chosen apps or take advantage of the 40 preset 30-minute workouts. They range from relatively easy to incredibly tough, using varying speeds and incline throughout the programs. There is also an option to manage your workouts manually, allowing you to choose the speed and incline for a more personalised session. The powered digital incline works seamlessly and smoothly whether you are controlling it manually or using it as part of a pre-set programme or in conjunction with a third party app. At 15%, the incline is pretty tough going and will really help to push that heart rate up. Let us introduce you to the shiny new Sprint-8 Pro from our pals at JTX. Like the popular Sprint-9, it’s a semi-commercial folding treadmill designed for endurance training at home, but according to the brand, the design is more compact.

Some might call the console a little basic. Personally, I’m fine with this. I’m here to run, not to marvel at technology or enjoy any bells and whistles. Is running at maximum speed on a cheap treadmill dangerous? and do they have a good max speed anyway? It’s a bit of a beast, but if you have the room, the Sprint 9 a solid option that comes highly recommended by anyone who has had the pleasure of using it. As above, there are many issues that most foldable treadmills of yore delivered, and that many still do. We have cut these out entirely. None of the folding treadmills below will give you any of these grievances. There has been some criticism of the program guide, as it needs a little more detail about the 40 programs (and, indeed, some explanation as to why 48 programs are strictly necessary). This is a wholly complex area in an otherwise wonderfully straightforward design. The full scope of programming (40 is a lot!) is a little confusing, and perhaps superfluous. Also, for such a small machine, it’s really quite weighty and takes a good bit of patience to assemble. For most people, using this treadmill in a garage with lower ceilings should be fine. The treadmill folds down to a length of 105cm with the other dimensions remaining the same – which shaves around a third off the length for space saving storage.
