I came to realize that I really enjoy anything that has cinnamon in it, e.g. Armani Si Intense, La Belle La Parfum intense by JBG also. Now the sap of the oud comes into play; the skanky part blends with the woodiness of the cedar. Smoke is on par with what incense resin emits when burned. It is a rich, dry, smoky incense without that clerical aspect. A copious amount of juicy resin and amber binds the smoky and dry accords, adding a touch of sweet saltiness. The base also offers an earthy side with a patchouli undertone, which gives extra depth without making the fragrance too dirty. Although there are all these elements in the base, the precious and wonderful incense stands out above all on my skin. Usually, I tend to appreciate fragrances containing oud less on the opening stage and more on the base and dry-down time frame. This woody fresh scent from Lattafa contains oud and pleases me as much on the opening as on the dry down. Blue Oud is also far from being a linear fragrance; that's a plus for this unusual woody and semi-fresh perfume.

Anyway, I have many bottles of SAS , but had I realised they changed the perfume, I would prefer this one. Opens up with this gorgeous dark juicy wine-like scent that settles into an ensemble of oud (that's not overly rubbery or skanky), sweet juicy resins and ambers, with a bit of a sugary feel. It's very wearable and very unisex, but I (32M) wear it a lot, and even got my similar aged male friends onto bottles of their own as they also agreed how lovely it is. Also as it's so beautifully cheap I often just wear it in the evenings at home and to bed as it's so lovely. Presentation: 8.0 (no apparent faults, elegant flask in a glass strong "azure" colour and a good metal cap. I just think it is a bit strange for the cap to have the word "opulent" written in a similar way as in Lattafa Opulent Oud. Is this a new "Opulent" family of perfumes by Lattafa? I guess it is!) It qualified as a unisex fragrance but I really think that it leans more toward the masculine side. Wearability: 8.5 (A three seasons scent for both outdoor or indoor, day or night; just avoid the summer hot days; You also have better choices for winter nights; it presents a scent different from the average oriental woody fragrance that usually targets cold weather only)

These are different, but there are some similarities with oud-vanilla. OM doesn't have the sandalwood-patchouli drydown, and is more of an oud-praline bland along the lines of Oud Bouquet Lancome, while Opulent Oud is woodier and more along the lines of Armani Prive Oud Royal. Both have powerhouse performance. The fragrance comes in an EDP concentration but it has slightly less performance than other Oud fragrances crafted by Lattafa. Nevertheless, it has respectable longevity of up to 8 hours with three sprays and 5~6 feet sillage, projecting for two hours. lux și opulență?! Da, într-o elegantă sticluță cu pulverizator. The scent smells rich, and I could imagine it costing 10 times as much in a different bottle. The oud accord (at this price, natural oud oil is impossible) is absolutely excellent and leaves Ombre Nomade and Halfeti in the dust. There is a prominent smokey rose, jammy dried fruits and smokey woods in the base. I don't smell large doses of synthwoods that are obvious in its competitors, and I appreciate this delicate touch. I would say if you like spicy, woody scents then give this a shot, for the price of this you really can’t go wrong, I can see why so many people enjoy it. It’s well blended, smells expensive and definitely gives off a sexual aura but it’s not the sexy perfume for me. Again, I want to smell that rose!😩

Over all I give this fragrance a ten/ten. It's really lovley,well blended,etc. It's a more wearable middle eastern Fragrance. I love, love, loooove this stuff. The spray that I do on my wrists before work really lasts me the entire shift and I can’t keep sniffing my wrist it really smells nice and that’s coming from someone who never thought would be wearing Oud. Longevity is good on me, lasts through a workday, i can smell it even after 10 hours on myself after a sweaty and super hot summer day. I wear this morning, night, right after shower, and when I am going to work. I mean I am really obsessed.

After the first 10 seconds (where there is a faint aroma of stale wine), this fragrance is incredible value for your money. Uniqueness: 9.0 (Quite unique and enjoyable for an oriental woody fragrance due to its somewhat easy-to-perceive "blueness") To be honest, I feel Sheikh Al Shuyukh Luxe Edition , has changed over the years. I’ve noticed it’s become more cloying vanilla. It definitely does give off a a bit of a fabric softener type of vibe, (not the overly feminine ones) especially in the dry down.
