Since that first sim racing video, I’ve had a blast diving deeper into the virtual racing world, though to really be competitive I’d have to dedicate a lot more time. I play more casually so I’ve been enjoying ACC campaigns, Forza Horizon 5, and drifting in Assetto Corsa. I am really looking forward to the new Forza Motorsport and plan on sinking some serious hours into that title when it releases in October. Depending on what sim-racing titles you are playing, there may be some additional setup required. So, what about the user experience. As stated above, the R9 is more than powerful enough for most users and provides ample detail too. Despite it being a weighty bit of kit, it's not huge and will happily sit on most rigs without issue. The included software is more than capable of setting the base up to how you like it though may not be the most intuitive software ever. You'll need to have a play to get it where you want it though there are plenty of videos and guides to help with this. The first time we plugged in the likes of the R9 and R16 wheel bases, we didn’t expect responsiveness at such a high level from the product’s zero latency wireless tech.
