About this deal

In 1982 Air Force and NASA engineer Lonnie Johnson conceived of the idea of a pressurized water gun after shooting a powerful stream of water in his bathroom while performing experiments for a new type of refrigeration system. Several months later he built a prototype in his basement, using Plexiglas, PVC pipe, O-ring seals and a two-liter soda bottle for the ample reservoir. [5] Johnson originally wanted to produce the toy himself, but realized that the costs were out of his reach. He attempted to arrange partnerships with toy companies to bring the product to market, but it was not until 1989 that he found success. While at the American International Toy Fair in New York City he met the vice president of the toy company Larami, who showed interest in the idea. [6] This is because once it leaves the gun the water starts to drop, so aiming it slightly higher will give the water a chance to cover more ground before it falls. h2>

FILL, PUMP AND BLAST: Fill the tank, pump to pressurise, and pull the trigger to deliver a deluge of soakage. Features

Super Soaker Original Classic Series". www.isoaker.com. Archived from the original on September 23, 2015 . Retrieved November 4, 2015. After two more years, those models were replaced by the CPS 1200, 1700, 2700, and 3200. After two more years, the final CPS models were the 2100 and 4100. Like most other blasters, the Super Soaker 100 has faults. The main fault with the soaker is that it is rather weak compared to blasters of today, due to its small nozzle; the Super Soaker 100 has been outclassed by more powerful weapons of a similar size. The Super Soaker 100 is also known to be very fragile, with a poor pump and leaks a lot.Speed and agility are important in water fights, so you'll want to avoid being weighed down by heavy, absorbent clothing. The weight of the water tank is also spread out evenly and the handles are smooth and comfortable to grip, so you won't face ease of use difficulties with the Hydra. Super Soaker CPS 2000 Review, Manufactured by: Larami Ltd., 1996:::: iSoaker.com". www.isoaker.com . Retrieved 23 August 2018. Once filled, you'll also need to remember to keep the water gun upright, as we found it leaks when pointing downwards.

Bushes, trees and garden furniture are all excellent sources of cover in a water fight. Not only will you avoid getting hit, you'll also keep out of sight and can ambush your enemies when they least expect it. It looks like a Super Soaker!!! Although one of the better aspects of the Nerf Super Soaker line is undoubtedly their sleek looks and minimalist colour schemes, to me they just don't look enough like water guns; not so here. The XP100 is clearly inspired by the iconic SS100 and retains its classic pressure chamber behind the reservoir and pump above the nozzle layout. It isn't a straight re-release however as it seems to be slightly chunkier and shorter than the original and utilises a flat sided reservoir and pressure chamber. I also approve of the colour scheme which I feel captures the 'modern re-imagining of a classic' feel quite well although this, like many aspects of aesthetics, is subjective. The other major difference is the pump. More precisely, the pump in the remake is physically larger than the old version. Which means you can actually pump up your blaster in reasonable amounts of time! The pump handle, and its placement above the barrel, remain the same. Whilst we will do everything we can to meet the delivery times above, there may be factors outside of our control and we cannot guarantee delivery within this time frame.

Toysrus.ca & Babiesrus.ca base "Our Suggested Age" ranges on these manufacturer recommendations, as well as considering which ages will enjoy the product. Such factors as a child's developmental skill set and toy popularity help determine the enjoyment levels of a product. Johnson built an improved prototype and made a trip to the Larami headquarters in Philadelphia where he made a successful sales pitch. [7] Refinements made with Larami design director William Raucci and engineering consultant Bruce D'Andrade made its mass production feasible, [2] and the first commercial version of the water gun appeared in stores the following year as the Power Drencher. In 1991 it achieved commercial success under its new name, Super Soaker. [7] The Super Soaker 100 is a standard rifle-sized soaker, with an blue body, yellow reservoir, yellow pressure chamber and a blue pump handle. The pistol grip of the soaker is textured to allow for better grip. Hasbro has implemented the Constant Pressure System in Super Soaker blasters a number of times since completing the takeover of Larami Corp in 2002. [22] The most recent implementation was in the 2011 'Hydro Cannon', [18] while the largest post-takeover pressure chamber (at 900ml) is found in the 2007 'HydroBlitz' blaster. AIR-PRESSURIZED CONTINUOUS BLAST: Pump to pressurize the chamber with air, then pull the trigger for a continuous, air-pressurized blast of water from the Nerf Super Soaker XP100 water blaster

Unfortunately the weather was pretty poor when I was testing it so I never managed to record any ranges. I did test it alongside a few XPs and it was definitely getting a meter or two less range and the stream was also thinner and more susceptible to the wind. When I get a day off with decent weather I'll post some proper range stats as well as pump volume, pressure chamber volume and output. The reservoir volume is 1260ml. In our range tests we fired each water gun several times at various angles to find the maximum range we were able to reach. Across the board we found that aiming your gun slightly higher helped the water fire further.
