About this deal

Which should you buy? They’re all amazing fun toys, but I would give Yoto Player the edge because it will remain popular with your child all the way through primary school. But the Yoto Player is not just a storyteller extraordinaire. It's also a companion for learning and creativity. Explore a world of educational content, from fascinating facts to mind-expanding podcasts. With the Yoto Player, learning becomes a thrilling adventure that knows no bounds. Two of the features that have impressed me the most are the free daily audio content you get through Yoto. The Yoto Radio station plays fun songs during the day and then once it gets to nighttime the radio will play sleepy lullaby type music. I often play this to help soothe my kids to sleep. There are hundreds to choose from, with content to suit all ages! The range of Cards includes Roald Dahl and Beatrix Potter classics, as well as modern Marvel superhero adventure stories.

The Yoto Player Starter Set 3rd Generation is an innovative, connected, screen-free audio device that little ones can be fully in control of using physical smartcards (sold separately). The Yoto Player boasts an integrated battery, stereo sound, Bluetooth connectivity and three different play modes. There are a few additional features on the new Yoto as compared to the old, including a toothbrushing timer and a room thermometer. We don’t think we’ll use these much but they might be handy for some families! The new version of the Yoto also has slightly more storage capacity, at 32GB, but I doubt many families would need so much storage. Price Make Your Own Cards featuring your own audio recordings and also upload MP3 files to create music playlists Kids can explore their imagination and the world around them as they discover and learn new things from their ever growing library of audio. The larger size of the Player means it's great for listening around the home. If you don’t have any blank Yoto Cards don’t worry! Just find the audio you want to play on the Yoto Player in the Yoto App and then select it to play. You don’t have to have a card to get audio playing in the Player! How to copy a Yoto CardOne of the noticeable differences on the new 3rd generation Yoto player is the longer battery life. The old version only had a battery life of 10 hours, whereas the new version is over double that, at 24 hours. This makes the 3rd generation a much better choice if you’re planning to do very long journeys. Better sound quality Yoto Daily is a podcast featuring information and fun content, plus birthday shoutouts. It’s required listening in our house as my kids love it! Yoto Player wins over Toniebox for us personally, as it has more appeal to older kids, giving it greater longevity for your family.

We’re huge fans of the Yoto Player in our house so have been testing out the 3rd generation Yoto Player to find out what’s new!

Benefits of Play

Once a Yoto Card has been inserted into your Yoto Player that content will be saved in your Yoto App “My Cards” Library. A fun intro to common words in English, French, Spanish, German and Italian with accompanying images. But if you’re looking for a great storytelling toy then this is a fantastic gift for a kid aged 0 to 11. Yoto is a UK brand that make screen-free audio players for children, designed with Montessori principles in mind.
