About this deal

DIGGERSAURS EXPLORE is a delightful sequel to the book taking the toddler world by storm! Whether you have a little one who loves construction vehicles or dinosaurs, diggersaurs are a charming expansion of these concepts into a cohesive story. In this book, the diggersaurs that we met in the first book are going exploring. They hope that they will find gold or maybe something old. Along the way, they encounter challenges that the diggersaurs use their special skills to solve (for instance, huge grassy bumps that the mowersaurus mows while the rollersaurus rolls them flat). If you read this story often, children will remember the words and be able to join in as you read. They will enjoy the sound effects and may like making them with their voices or improvised instruments. The end papers are fun for this too, you could take turns saying the sounds. Tell the story What's bigger than a digger? Bigger than a dinosaur? DIGGERSAURS are bigger - see them build and hear them ROAR! Age 0-5 Have you ever looked at diggers and cranes and imagined they look like dinosaurs? Well this book does just that, tapping into two popular themes with young children and blending them together to create an amazing set of creatures – DIGGERSAURS! Bold illustrations, a rhyming text and an imaginative idea make this a great story for sharing again and again. Share the story Watch a trailer Less ambitious than Chris Gall’s widely known Dinotrux (2009) and sequels, this British import systematically relegates each dinosaur/construction-equipment hybrid to its most logical job.

After hearing the story a few times, children will get to know it well. Encourage them tell it to you in their own words, with some words or phrases from the story, using the pictures to help them. Talk about the story These monstera leaves are really easy to make. Just draw a big leaf (or find an image of a leaf online and print it off), then cut it out and use it as your template. Draw round the template and cut your shapes from green card or paper.Talk about the names for the different diggersaurs, lots of them have names that are about the job they do. Perhaps you could make up more together. On the way to nursery Casper is often looking out for where the next Diggersaur may be hiding. He likes to make the noises and make me guess which Diggersaur he is - so I am fast being able to distinguish my CHOMPS from my NOM-NOMS!” This hilarious picture book is a rip-roaring read-aloud guide to 100 different feathered friends. Full of endless funny details, silly scenarios, and a rare bird to spot, this is a book to read again and again. You can change 'What's the time Mr Wolf' to 'What's the time Mr Dinosaur'. Or keep it simple by lining kids up at one side or a room or garden and placing the dinosaurs in the middle. Turn the egg and spoon race on its head by using toy dino eggs. You could even build a nest from twigs or straw where kids have to place them when they finish the race.

This book will also be fun to do in storytime. It involves all sorts of construction equipment and dinosaurs. It's a rhyming book which is a favorite of mine =D It also talks about teamwork! Buy a selection of mini dinosaur toys and either place one in each gift bag, or put them in a box with a sign on saying 'adopt a dinosaur'.These footprint biscuits are really easy to make. Buy a fossil footprint cookie stamp or just press a toy dinosaur's foot into a biscuit before you place it in the oven to bake.

The illustrations are just so much fun. The illustrator really managed to make the vehicles look like dinosaurs but also like vehicles. Often you can clearly recognise the dinosaur it is supposed to be and some definitely were more fantasy. There are tons of details that make each dinosaur unique and fun. All in all, I had so much fun reading this. It made me very happy and that is just what I need at the moment. Something to make me forget the world. I would recommend this to all. A simple way to keep younger kids entertained is to set up a play table or play area with sand and toy dinosaurs. They'll spend ages playing in it.Casper loves reading but he gets particularly excited when we can bring books to life for him. Lovemybooks provides some great inspiration for how to achieve this.'

If you want, you could have a dinosaur fancy dress theme for your party – just make sure you put it on the invites so people have plenty of time to prepare. Children will fall in love with these huge, colourful, lovable beasts as the wonderfully read-aloud rhyming story unfolds. And there are lots of funny details to spot along the way... Meet the Roversaurs - an awesome combination of dinosaur and spacecraft. They busy on Mars, tunnelling through the ground, mapping new territory, testing soil samples and growing plants - what do they have planned? And might they need some help from the Diggersaurs? I read this one in Dutch, but decided to write my book in English. I love dinosaurs, but I also love building machines and this one combines both of that in a wonderful and fun way that will enchant people like me, but also definitely kids.

Combining two childhood obsessions, this book features construction vehicles reimagined as dinosaurs. "Diggersaurs" of various designs are humongous and they dig, dump, excavate and more in this silly, super fun rhyming book.
