The Hunter X Hunter manga was originally released in 1998 and was written and illustrated by Yoshihiro Togashi, with 36 volumes as of October 2018. The popularity of the series led to an anime adaptation in 1999 that currently has 62 episodes in total. The manga was translated into English and released in 2005, with the anime adaptation released in North America in 2009. Both the manga and the anime series have stopped while no further story has been added to the beloved release.

Hunter x Hunter Celebrates Volume 37 With New Teaser

Remember that Volume 37 came after a long hiatus of about four years, which is not the manga's first, but definitely its longest to this day. Hunter x Hunter started in 1998, though it started to go on hiatuses in 2006. The story follows Gon Freecss, who wants to be a Hunter like his absent father, Ging. On the way, he meets Killua, Kurapika, and Leorio. That being said, Gon was as absent as Ging in Volume 36, as the chapters in that tankobon focused on the Succession Contest Arc. Kurapika and Leorio, as well as arc villains such as the Spiders, are the main characters for these chapters.After several volumes of precipitious decline, Volume 22 will most likely be the one wher Jujutsu Kaisen falls below the 1 million mark. I personally would expect the series to eventually stabilize somewhere around 700k-800k, though of course this depends on how much more story is left to tell.

Hunter x Hunter Volume 37 Release Date Announced - The Nerd Stash

A new volume will finally be released for Hunter X Hunter, which continues the story of the manga series. Volume 37 by Yoshihiro will be released this year in Japan, which last had an installment released 4 years ago. Fans who love the series will be thrilled to continue the story after the long hiatus of the series creator Yoshihiro Togashi. More releases are expected to follow, including the hope that the anime series adaptation will continue. Hunter x Hunter Volume 37 focuses on Fugetsu, Mizaistom, and Melody, as well as Morena Prudo, a very strong and dangerous character who is unlike anything the manga has shown before. However, it is worth noting that the Manga Taisho Award (for which the series has been nominated) typically releases its results sometime in March. If Akane-banashi wins, its sales situation will likely get very interesting, considering the kinds of boosts that past Manga Taisho winners have seen.

While we hope that Hunter x Hunter Volume 37 could be released in English sooner, expecting it in late Summer or early Fall 2023 seems realistic.
