About this deal

Naked, the WE555 diaphragm looks a lot like a metal-dome tweeter, and almost exactly like the drivers in some of today's best and most expensive headphones. I mention this because, without a horn, these aluminum domes become "dome tweeters" that convert less than 1% of the energy supplied them into acoustic output. With a horn attached, the WE555 converts more than 20% (footnote 2). It's one of the 'Marmite' products that you are either going to love... or not. Superficially, it's a bouncy, zesty sort of performer that definitely causes you to sit up on the sofa and pay attention to the music. At the same time, it's a little uneven sounding. There's a bump that makes the upper bass sound a tad more gutsy than perhaps it should given the size of the loudspeaker, and the tweeter is typically lively and, on occasions, even hard-sounding. The RP-600M's sensitivity is specified as an extraordinarily high 96dB/W/m, its frequency response as 45Hz–25kHz, ±3dB. Many speakers in the market can match the price range, but there are not many speakers that can match the deep bass that this speaker produces. These speakers tend to offer an atmosphere like a live performance. Enter the LXminis. INSTANT sweetness! Without having to break anything in…or out. Even SWMBO fell in love with them. Of course, the downside of that is now I've got to share listening time. :(

Redesigned from the ground up, Klipsch's all-new Reference Premiere series leverages over 70 years of loudspeaker history. We audition the largest of its bookshelf trio...Because on and off-axis response is similar, we get the same shape graph as our spinorama on-axis with a bit of tilt down which we can all appreciate. Some sounds will reach your ear from the speakers directly, and those frequencies that reached you have actually bounced off walls and then reached you. The sonic character of the sound gets affected when it bounces off surfaces. It also causes a delay in the sound.

I think I'm reading Mr. HR is say'n their performance is commensurate with his system making them an Audiophile Bargain. Footnote 1: Mix Staff, " 1925: Chester Rice & Edward Kellogg, General Electric Co. Modern Dynamic Loudspeaker." Mix, September 1, 2007.There can be some hardness in the upper midrange level that can be bothersome to some people with vocals. It depends on the amplifier. If you go ahead with warmer sources and amplifiers, the issue will not come up, and you will think they are unbelievable. Pros and Cons Pros Directivity (on and off-axis similarity) looks very good though. In theory then, that dip would be one we can fill in with equalization. A speaker this inexpensive isn’t supposed to be this good. It isn’t rational. The Klipsch Reference Premiere RP-600M is not just a great loudspeaker for its price, or for horn-loving Klipsch Kids—it’s way better than that. In my world, this speaker is a uniquely important discovery. Super-highly recommended.” The RP-600M ebony and walnut finishes boast satin painted baffles with a scratch resistant design for an elegant audio solution to your home theater system.
