About this deal

To make up for some lost vodka time, we thought we’d bring you one of the most attention grabbing and distinguishing bottles on the market right now – Mamont Vodka.

Few have experienced its uncommonly wild and haunting beauty, unspoiled forests, lakes, rivers, and the Altai Mountains. Well we’re happy to report that this is an incredibly accomplished vodka. We’ve rarely felt smoothness like it on the palate. The cedar nuts give it a slight nutty aroma on the nose. Once you get round to sipping this vodka, it feels like velvet on the tongue. Georgian Bay Spirit Vodka needs no introduction. It has already been selected as the Best Vodka at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. The distillery uses water from Elmvale Ontario, which it considers “the purest water on the planet.”Famille Naud is a French Cognac producer who also produces a pot still, winter wheat-based vodka. The grain is sourced from the agricultural region to the northeast of Paris. A rounded and slightly starchy nose. Soft and full with a botanical/ grainy nip and hints of natural vanilla pod. Mamont Siberian Vodka is outstandingly smooth, delicate and rich toned, its secret lies in uniquely Siberian ingredients and craftsmanship.

Today, the Itkul Distillery is the only distillery in the whole of Russia to produce alcohol from pure malt. Mamont vodka really is smoothness personified. To truly appreciate its smoothness we recommend placing your bottle in the freezer for a few hours and pouring yourself a shot in between dinner courses, to cleanse your palate. We guarantee you won’t be disappointed. Distilled at the foot of the Altai Mountains by a team of skilled craftsmen, Mamont Vodka is produced using only traditional methods and natural ingredients local to Siberia. Founded in 1868, Itkul Distillery is Siberia’s oldest, and the only distillery in the whole of Russia to produce alcohol from pure malt. In Mamont’s production, the finest Siberian white winter wheat is first selected and carefully fermented then blended with water from the Altai Mountain springs, renowned throughout Russia for its purity. This blend is then distilled six times before a small proportion of cedar nut spirit is added to the liquid, which is then triple filtered through Siberian silver birch charcoal. The result is a refined, crystal-clear vodka. Aromatic sloes are joined by kirsch and ripe plums on the nose. An interplay between sweet apricot and tea develops on a lovely, dry palate. Festive spices and marzipan evolve into a cooling, herbal finish. Absolutely divine. Traditionally, vodka is drunk from glasses that can hold 100 grams, i.e., 10 cl and in Russia known as «stopka» or «sto gram».Crystal-clear Mamont is like no other vodka. As a special touch, cedar nuts are added as they used to be eaten by the mammoths who roamed the area. Grand and luxurious, the nose opens with cacao and hazelnut and the palate introduces faint notes of nutmeg and clove before rich chocolate and tonka bean emerge. (Tonka bean is extremely aromatic, offering up aromas of almond, vanilla and sweet pipe tobacco. It has high levels of the chemical coumarin and is illegal to sell in the US for human consumption ). Beautifully poised with excellent weight this is decadent and truly outstanding vodka. Vodkas can be distilled, once, twice, three or four times – or even more – in search of that perfect purity. The filtration process adds polish and can impart flavour characteristics to a vodka; though not all producers choose to filter. Unlike the chemical fermentation, during the sprouting process the natural enzymes are formed inside the grain, ensuring the natural fermentation. This process, unique for the alcohol production, gives the Mamont vodka its special mild taste.

Crystal-clear Mamont is like no other vodka. Outstandingly smooth, delicate and rich toned, its secret lies in uniquely Siberian ingredients and craftsmanship. As a special touch, cedar nuts are added as they used to be eaten by the mammoths who roamed the area. Today, like the unique tusk-shaped bottle, they are a reminder of Mamont’s Siberian heritage. Made from winter wheat grown on a single estate in southern Sweden, Absolut’s luxury bottling Elyx is distilled in a vintage copper column still from 1921. This is one of our favourite vodkas: rich and rounded, with a luscious silky texture. Light grain aromas, plus notes of fresh bread, white chocolate and mellow spice. The palate has creamy cereal notes, vanilla, macadamia nuts and baked pastries. Alc 42.3% No, Stalinskaya is not inspired by Joseph Stalin. Actually, both names were inspired by stal, the Russian word for steel. The term denotes strength. The Romanian vodka is distilled from top grade wheat using a proprietary three step distillation process. According to the company, it is then “filtered through birch charcoal and silver ions for smoothness and exceptional clarity.” The Itkul Distillery is Siberia’s oldest distillery, founded in 1868 at the River Itkul, Altai Region.Premium Swedish vodka with an iconic bottle design, based on a traditional Swedish medicine bottle. Grain, vanilla and liquorice on the palate. Alc 40% It all started in 2001, when a group of twelve explorers got trapped in the South Pole after surviving an emergency landing. While waiting for a rescue team in the deep Antarctic cold, they began warming themselves up with vodka and started planning their next expedition: the discovery of the Great Mammoth in Siberia. The eye-catching bottle of Mamont vodka is inspired by the Yukagir Mammoth, with the bottle taking the shape of the mammoth’s distinctive tusks. So before we’ve even tried this vodka, we’re already big fans of the bottle Mamont have produced – we’ve never seen anything quite like it. The Siberian artesian water used to make it, combined with the triple filtration process results in a vodka with a purity and softness that really makes you appreciated the quality of Mamont vodka. There is a subtle sweetness on the palate, with a slight nutty after-tone from the cedar nuts with a vanilla finish. We have gained valuable knowledge from previous generations and sharpened our skills to allow us to create a spirit of the highest quality using the power of the land.
