About this deal

A 2020 life-cycle analysis of electric toothbrushes found that the average brush is 11 times more impactful than a manual toothbrush.

In this article, I will explain what the different cleaning modes are and what they can do for you. With the SmartSeries and Genius range, you press the separate cleaning mode button (a downwards arrow) to change the mode. Product Description: The Oral-B Pro 2 2500 is an exceptional electric toothbrush for the price. It features the two most important things: Pressure sensor and 2 minute timer with quadpacer. This coupled with the cheap price makes it a great, budget electric toothbrush. You can use the standard CrossAction head for all cleaning modes, but the 3D White brush head is more effective when used with the Whitening mode for example. The Pro 2 2000W – This is the Pro 2 2000 with 1 x 3D White brush head included in the box, rather than the CrossAction brush head that comes with the Pro 2 2000N. The differences between the brush heads are explained in our ultimate Oral-B brush head guide, if you would like to know more. Make sure the head of the brush is replaced every 3 months to avoid doing damage to the teeth. It can be difficult to remember when you last changed or replaced the heads. I like the slim and grippy handle. The 2 week battery life is satisfactory and, most importantly, it does a good job of cleaning your teeth.

Requiring a firm push the power button has a decent level of resistance. It is not too hard to switch the brush on, but it’s not likely to turn on unless you really mean to press the button. The CrossAction brush comes as standard with the Oral-B Pro 2 2500N. As the brush head size is quite small, it means that it easily accesses the most difficult of molar teeth. This in my view is the best brush head Oral-B make. This is because it has special bristles that are angled at 16 degrees, which allow it to clean close to the gum line. This mode is often recommended by some dentists as a better option than the Daily Clean as it is not so powerful. The Pro 2 2000 has the essential, dentist-recommended features you need from an electric toothbrush.

The Pro 2 2500 has now been discontinued and isn’t as easy to source or as good value as it once was. Well, the 2000 series covers all of the bases we see as important in an electric toothbrush. It does so at a good price with little in the way of compromise. Like the 2 minute timer, this causes a change in the brushing sensation and the sound of the brush and is the alert you need to change from one quadrant to another. With some models of toothbrush, you can turn this professional timer off and leave just the 2 minute timer enabled. You will need to refer to the instructions for your Oral-B toothbrush for directions. The extra power & movements of the electric toothbrush do bring benefits for sure but they are not an absolute must. Thanks for the review. I’ve bought this model and have since noticed toothpaste in liquid form has made its way into the section at the top of the brush handle where the metal prong comes out and connects to the brush head. Can you please tell me if it’s okay and safe to clean this section (once the brush head is removed) under running water? If it’s not do you know what’s the best way of preventing and/or clearing up the paste that makes its way inside the handle? I’m concerned that this could eventually damage the brush if not cleaned. Thanks again. Reply
