Rival Sons have announced their long-awaited return to the UK & EUROPE this autumn taking their two forthcoming new albums, DARKFIGHTERand LIGHTBRINGERon the road, across Europe for a 30-date run.Last week, Rival Sons released the third visual instalment in their narrative series of videos that have accompanied new music from the forthcoming DARKFIGHTER album. The series tells the story of a double-cross and a heist gone wrong and stars the band themselves as a gang of crooks. It’s a caper that results in explosive consequences. This and follow up album are all about light and shade, differences that were being forced on us by others and “Bird in the Hand” ties this all together in the Rival Sons 70s showcase. Lyrically you can feel the oppression and difficulties we all went through during that period. After the success of Before the Fire, the band recorded a self-titled EP (independently released) in 2010, which caught the attention of Earache Records founder Digby Pearson and the band was offered a record deal in November 2010. The signing led to the band immediately recording the album Pressure & Time on the Earache label in early 2011.
