As far as the skipping goes, remotes like these often have an option for how many times the command is repeated per button press. If you are finding number or direction commands double-tapping, you should be able to dial it down to 1 or 0 repeats, depending on the limitations of the software.

The Sofabaton X1 Hub and remote control come with a hub and a remote. The hub sends out command signals, and the remote sends commands to the hub. The remote has an extended LED screen that displays a home menu with the options Devices, Activities, and Set (up). The screen is not a touch screen, so you use a scroll ball to choose the activity you want. Compared to the URC remote, setup for my system was a breeze, and the remote works perfectly. WhileThat is odd. I can mute and unmute my Onkyo with the same button. I would look at the programming and see if it’s set for the mute command. If that doesn’t work, you could set it for a short press for mute and a long press for unmute.

My only concerns are the ‘all off‘ working reliably and the expansion of inbuilt device support, as adding one device at a time and having to learn every button is quite a chore on the current U1, and they really need to see if the software can allow you to setup all devices without having to sync every time, just once at the end like the Harmony does.The X1 controls the Apple TV via Bluetooth, and works flawlessly. I have an OLED, Projector, motorised screen, AVR and numerous sources including Nvidia Shield, Virgin Media box, UHD Blu Ray player.
